I use it at night, about a hour before going to bed. You wake up with a tan.

Compared to many self-tanning products I've tried, this one gave me the most color from just one application. I like this better than a more gradual product because I only have to do it once a week. Smell is not as bad as others. Dries more quickly than others. Doesn't rub off on clothes as much as others. But be careful in applying, because streaks are more obvious since it gives such dark color in one application.

This is the best self tanner if you are interested in fast dark results. It takes longer to dry but the result are worth it and it seems to last longer than other self tanners.

I LOVE this product and am so happy to find it online as the stores don't carry it anymore. First I want to say, all sunless tanners smell and are sticky! This one however dries very quickly and is not sticky, in my experience anyways. I have very fair skin and this gives me a deep dark tan within hours. It is so even and smooth. It is the BEST product out there!!!! As with any sunless tanner you need to know how to apply it correctly and evenly... its an art form.

I used tanning beds for years and being on the `fair¿ side I became addicted to being tan. Now being a bit older and a bit more health conscious I have stopped using them altogether. I have tried `all¿ the self tanners (sprays-`all¿ of them) and this product is by far the best I¿ve found. It leaves my skin really soft and sexy, I `love¿ it! The only drawback it that it does have a bit of a strong smell (though not nearly as bad as some!), it remains a tad sticky and takes nearly an hour to fully dry as others have mentioned. I usually allow time in the evening when I can be doing other things around the house while not wearing anything, working out etc. I use a scrub to exfoliate my skin in the shower, then shave, rinse and apply a thin even coat making sure to cover everything evenly. A few hours later when it is dry, I then shower and apply a moisturizer. I¿m not sure what is in it, but at this point after showering and applying a moisturizer it leaves my skin incredibly smooth and silky, and all really sexy with a flawless deep golden (not `orange¿) tan, and the next day it looks and feels even better! If you have a chance to get a bit of sun along with it, it will really give you a very sexy looking tan. I use it `everywhere¿ and my husband loves it! I also always get compliments on it with people asking me if I¿ve been to the beach. I use it about twice a week to maintain a great tan. The only problem I¿ve had is finding the `gelee¿. Most of the stores carry the `tinted¿ self-tanner Loreal offers, but I don¿t think it gives nearly as good a result, but may be fine for touch-ups. If you take a bit of care in applying it and give yourself the time to let it dry I don¿t think you¿ll be disappointed.

I am a VERY fair-skinned red-head, and this is absolutely the best self-tanner I have used, and I have used many, many products from the extremely expensive to the discounted brands, in many forms: foams, oils, lotions, toilettes, sprays... I have turned all shades of orange and even a shade of greenish brown. This product -- especially in the gelee, for some reason -- produces the most authentic tan I (or others whom I've asked) have seen on my skin. As with all self-tanners, I apply this evenly with gloves and take my time to ensure it doesn't streak when it dries. The skin on my face is sensitive so I never use a self-tanner on it (I use a powder bronzer), but use this gelee only on my body. Yeah, the product is sticky after application so I make sure I have some time to hang out in my underwear or bathing suit before I apply it. Also, it does have a particular self-tanner odor for a couple of days (especially if you're doing 2 days of application) so I also make sure I have a couple of days to hang out at home. For me, these are TINY inconveniences relative to the outcome. This product produces the most authentic tan I've ever had.

This product is amazing. I got great color fast. I am naturally really pale and this gave me a great beach ready tan. It didn't streak and didn't stink. I would recommend this product to every fair skinned woman who is tired of turning orange; this really works great for a non streaky natural looking tan.

In the world of self-tanners this is a 5 star. It has a smell, but it's not bad. It is a little sticky, but doesn't smudge or rub off on clothes after a few minutes. This one gives you a lot of color pretty fast so be careful. I have very sensitive skin and it doesn't irritate. This is my second bottle and I have recommended it to friends already!

Despite the stickiness, there is nothing at this price that can compare. I am also a fair skinned girl and have tried several others that turn orange- this doesn't, this one is great to use weekly or a booster when lying in the sun. That's the best advice I can give, use it by the pool; the combination of the tanner and an hour in the sun will give you a perfect quick painless tan... and it dries the stickiness faster

I gave this product 4 stars because it ultimately produced a great natural-looking tan with no streaking (as long as properly applied). I agree with the other posters on the drawbacks, however - it takes a long time to dry and feels very sticky (and I can't use it on my face because I have oily skin already). Also, it did take several applications to get my fair skin to look tanned. Everyone's skin reacts differently, though, so some may have quicker results. All in all, the results are worth it - it produced a great looking tan.
