A little messy to use because of the waxy texture. it is better used with dry hands and dry face. It feels great when messaging my face with it and the lemon smell is wonderful. leaves my face smooth.

I have bought literally EVERYTHING to help my face, but after I read the reviews for this I decided why not and made the purchase , boy, did I luck out!! This stuff is amazing and it has totally healed my skin. I am 30, and to this day I was struggling with acne but not any more this is a wonderful cleanser!!! Worth every penny.

This cleanser smells really good, but it leaves a water repellent film on your skin. (I can see water beading up on my hands after I rinse my face.) This might be an advantage depending on your skin type. I like my face to feel "clean" after I wash, so I plan on using this on my hands this winter to keep them from drying out, since I wash them so often. I've used Burt's Orange facial cleanser in the past, and it leaves my skin the right amount of moisturized. I did not mind any film that it left. I'm not sure about the poppy seeds. There don't seem to be a lot of them, and they are huge. I definitely prefer a finer scrub.

I have been using this product for the past three weeks as my only face wash (day and night) and have been impressed with the results. I will definitely purchase it again.

This is the best!! It's everything everyone else has said. The smell is fantastic. I bought this just to try it. Ive used other Burts Bees products in the past and loved them Im sold on this!!

This stuff is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I have tried EVERYTHING on the market and let me say EVERYTHING....Nothing has left my skin with a flawless complexion...I have trouble with breakouts (adult onset) and since using this cleanser I have not had a SINGLE ONE! I was skeptical at first as other users said how "greasy" this is.....it is not! The poppies in it are just enough for a gentle exfoliation each time you use it. This is how I do my regime.......I put the cleanser on and massage it on DRY skin, then I get in the shower, use a wash cloth and massage some more as I also rinse it off. It does NOT leave any greasy feel to my skin (and I always was a foamy cleanser person), it actually makes my skin balanced and refreshed! I follow it with the Burts Bees Garden Tomato Toner (just to my T-Zone area) and then I use the Burts Bees Marshmallow Vanishing Creme...just a little goes a long way, and after being out all day I looked at my complexion and it looked like it was "air brushed" not a blemish in sight....I even get compliments how great my skin looks, and what I use...even the ladies at the Estee Lauder counter asked me what product I use on my skin and I'm over 50. You won't be sorry

OMG you have to try this stuff! First of all, read the directions and rub it on your face without water. THEN rinse with water. You will feel a "film", but not to worry, this is a good thing! My face has never felt and/or looked better! It's truly healthy! And the smell? OMG!

I definitely agree with another user who mentioned that this product doesn't make sense: it is super thick and greasy and it leaves a residue (feels like a heavy moisturizer) even after washing it off but it does wonders for your skin. It prevents breakouts and eliminates the need for any cream afterwards so it's pretty much a 2-in-1 deal. But if you have oily skin this is NOT the cleanser for you. And using a washcloth helps to get rid of that residue. Also: it smells amazing, which is almost reason enough it in itself! Overall a good product.

I bought this to use on my 7 year old daughter's face. She has very dry skin on her cheeks and dry irritated bumps. (I don't remember the clinical name for this.) We were using a mild soap, but after learning about toxic chemicals used in skincare products, I decided to go natural for my daughter. Her skin is so sensitive, yet I kept layering it with more and more chemicals to ease her dry skin. It didn't make sense. I was skeptical, but I must say that I LOVE this cleanser for her! It smells so delicious, she looks forward to washing her face. I took one user's advice and I smooth it on her skin while it's still dry. Then I wash it off with warm water on a wash cloth. Then I apply her moisturizer. (I'm still looking for an appropriate all-natural moisturizer.) Her skin is doing extremely well by it, and I'm grateful that we found this product!
