I am in my fifties and still have acne occasionally. The cyst type that is very painful. This product works quickly without blistering my sensitive skin. It is heavy, does not absorb well, has an odor, and orange pigment so I only use it at night. But it works! and works quickly. Best product I've used including prescriptions.

I wish I had known about this product years ago. I have dealt with acne (including cysts) and oily skin most of my adult life. I have tried just about everything, including Accutane, which worked well for a couple years but the effects have diminished greatly over the years. Even foundation that is described as being suited for oily skin is no match to my extremely oily skin. I apply a thin layer of Acnomel first thing in the morning, then apply foundation over it. This product zaps pimples before they start and is the most effective product (medication or cosmetic) I have used to keep my oil at bay. My foundation stays much fresher throughout the day. I can't say enough good things about this product. It is also far less drying and irritating than products with benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. I simply love Acnomel!

I must say I was very disappointed with this product. I got it after reading the good reviews (for the most part) on this site. Unfortunately, it turned my acne prone skin into a dry pimply mess. Now, I'm doing damage control. Do not recommend this product to anyone with less than oil rig oily skin. Even with my oily skin type, it managed to completely dry out my skin with only once every other day mixed with moisturizer application.

Great product

I bought this because I wanted a sulfur spot treatment for overnight. I was spot treating with Queen Helene's Mint Julep but I wanted something that I could blend better into my skin than a bright green paste. LOL Unfortunately for me, this cream is tinted a shade lighter than me. Since I'm only using it at night it doesn't really matter. All of that aside, it works great. My skin really responds well to sulfur. Sometimes I'll just put it on certain spots but lately I've been mixing it with a small amount of lotion so I can spread it on my face all over. I'll spritz my face with my water and then apply the Acnomel/lotion mix. So far so good. I felt two cystic acne spots forming (my period is coming) and I spread this stuff on my face at night and the cystic acne spots are gone in 2 days. No hyperpigmentation marks either (which happens sometimes). Yeah!!!! I just wish I had this available 20-30 years ago when my acne was worse and I had no clue as to what to do. Nothing I've tried in the past worked. So, if you have acne and nothing's working, give sulfur a try. You can start with this since it's very affordable and see how it works for you. :)

I have been a long time acne sufferer and decided to try this. It has worked so well for my skin that I wish I had found it sooner. It is a bit drying and the sulfur smell leaves much to be desired but an overall effective product. I use it nightly before bed and wake up to skin that actually behaves! Amazing!

Acnomel is great for people allergic to benzol peroxide, the active ingredient used in most acne medicines. It may be the only product you are able use. It dries out acne blemishes and also helps keep rosacea under control. Don't apply too thickly as its purpose is to dry out the acne. Apply a very thin layer over affected area. Applying too much may dry out your skin.

I have used several adult acne products for my flare-ups and like this one, by far, the best. It has a nice creamy texture, clears up the zits, covers the redness nicely -- everything you'd want from this kind of cream. And while the scent isn't the greatest, it's more pleasant than other brands like Clearasil. I highly recommend this product and hope Drugstore.com always carries it! P.S.: I love your website! have had acne all my life - and after trying many products - have found acnomel to work well with my skin

Like many others, I have used Acnomel for more years than I can count. I started using it as a teenager when it was just called "Acnomel." Apparently, it gew into "Adult Acnomel" along with me and my adult breakouts. Many years later, hormones are wrecking havoc with breakouts, and I don't know what I would do without my Acnomel. I apply a light coat in my T-zone under department-store oil-free makeup to lightly cover blemishes and control oil, and then pat it on with a makeup sponge during the day to eliminate any oily shine. After all these years, I'm a pro at making the cream blend with my makeup and my very fair skin tone, without making anything look caked on. When I'm at home, and especially at bedtime, I apply a slightly heavier coat to control my oily skin throughout the day/night. The Acnomel is hard to find. My supermarket pharmacy used to order it special for me, but they could no longer get it. Thankfully, I found it here at drugstore.com! I couldn't live without this product, and I couldn't be happier that I can purchase it here! Please don't ever stop carrying this product! I think I'm an "Acnomel" addict, but it's one of only a few products that actually works with my skin.
