This is a clarifying shampoo, meaning it's supposed to remove build-up if you leave it on for 2 minutes. It usually helps the feel of my hair. Miner is fine and dry, and conditioners and styling products make it too soft and limp. This doesn't fix it right away every time; sometimes the hair is still too soft, but by the next day it's in good shape. If you don't feel any build up in your hair, you don't have to leave it on and it still cleanses.

I love this shampoo as a purifier to get rid of product build-up. I use it every Sunday instead of my pureology pure volume shampoo. I would not recommend to use it every day, b/c I think it would really dry out your hair.

Works great unless you have a lot of product buildup on your hair, but then all you have to do is add baking soda to it to make a paste and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Make sure to condition hair well afterwards.

I didn't like this shampoo. The reviewer who said this shouldn't be used on highlighted and color-treated hair was right. I wanted an effective but gentle clarifying shampoo for heavy styling product use and hard city water, but this product dries out my already-dry damaged hair and tangles it up in a terrible knot after rinsing. Using this shampoo always requires a super-slick detangling conditioner to get the knots out. I thought this sulfate-free formula would be very gentle but I am not a happy camper with this product. It doesn't lather well and my hair afterward doesn't feel particularly clean and clarified, only dried out and brittle. YUCK. I prefer KMS clarifying shampoo much better.

Not for daily use if you have color-treated/highlighted hair, but used as a clarifier every two weeks it really eliminates styling build-up and hard water deposits. I suggest shampooing normally first (with this or anything else) if you have any styling products in your hair and then applying this for the 2 minutes the bottle says to. Apply a rich conditioner afterward and watch your hair shimmer in the sun!

The Pureology products are really fantastic. I just switched back to them after using store brand for a while, and with just one washing they made such a difference. I'm definitely not one to buy into expensive products, but these are really worth it.
