I love this straightener. My hair is medium length, so I have the 1" plate straightener. For added ionic styling, I use an 1875 ionic blow dryer. I just whisk it all over to make the water droplets on the hair shaft smaller (check the benefits of Ionic hair drying to know what I am speaking of). I take my straightener and proceed. I love the end result. Im African American, I used to wrap my hair and sit under a hair dryer. Now it takes me a little under 2 hours from start to finish.

I initially bought this straightener off of this website. I used it for about a week. One morning I plugged it in and it exploded in the outlet and burned my arm. I sent an email to Remington about the situation and they sent me a replacement no questions asked. I bought the 2" size and was given the 1" as a replacement. Luckily the product did not start a fire in my home. I do love how easy the product is to use and how well it straightens my hair. I have wavy hair but mostly straight hair. It is much healthier if I use this as opposed to a blow dryer which just dries out my hair. The straightener is a wonderful tool just watch out for that sudden spark!

I would say that this product is does a good job. It's pretty much what you pay for. My hair is thick and medium length and it takes about an hour to get straight so it does its job.

I have very, very, very curly hair. My hair is naturally tight curls, uncontrollable, and very hard to brush through when dry. So obliviously I straighten my hair. When I go to a salon and get my hair done it is very straight, almost stick straight and I love it. But I wanted to try something that I could do myself. First off I got out of the shower and used this. The steam was hot but thanks to reviews I expected it. So I went through. It took about 3 hours and my hands were sore. But after my hair was kind of straight it was puffy/frizzy. Definitely not stick straight. If you have medium-short hair it will probably work great! But for me it didnt. If you have hair like mine I recommend it for touch-ups on salon straightened hair. I suggest invest in professional hair products (chi, good shampoo, really good conditioner) if you want your hair super straight without going to the salon.

It's SUPPOSED to sizzle. It means the water is turning into steam, and there are little vents for the steam to be released through. When it's doing what its supposed to do, it wont blow up. I've had this straightener for awhile, and its ok to use. But thats it, just ok.

This is not a good straightener. I bought this because I hated having to blow dry my hair and then straighten it, and I figured this would combine both of the steps into one, which would be so much easier for me. However, this straightener doesn't completely dry my hair, or straighten it nicely. I still have to go over with my other better straightener.

My Revlon straightener broke after only a year, so I tried my roommate's Remington Wet2Straight. It worked amazingly well; much better than my Revlon. I like this one because the paddles are pretty thin so it's easy to get right to the root of your hair and straighten. The overall manageability and ease of this product is excellent. I also love how the ceramic plates are seamless so no hair gets caught in the metal (like it did with my Revlon). It leaves your hair really shiny too and it feels less damaged. I tried it on my sister's very thick and long hair when she got right out of the shower. I had to go over her hair twice because it didn't get it completely dry the first time. But by the time I was done, her hair looked amazingly straight and stayed straight through the day's humidity. I highly recommend this product. It's a great bargain.

THIS REALLY DOES STRAIGTEN WET, CURLY HAIR IN ONE SHOT! I had never thought I would be able to have "simple" straight hair... my hair is naturally curly, so straightening it involves blowing it dry, then using a straightening iron which is too time consuming for most days. I have been using this straightening iron for about 2 years now and absolutely love it. My roommate said she won't use it because she is worried about damaging her hair, but I don't see any noticeable damage, and like not having to use 2 separate appliances. I use a leave-in conditioner to protect a little, and surprisingly I find it works better for me on very wet hair rather than damp hair. I HIGHLY recommend this straightener!
