This flat iron stinks. First of all you cannot use it while your hair is wet it ruins your hair. Second even if your hair is completely dry your hair smells burnt after using it. At the first sign of humidity or rain it will frizz up and look horrible. The bottom line is don't waste your money. I'm going to buy a higher end flat iron called the Hai. It has excellent reviews that it will hopefully live up to.

I LOVE this straightener!! It definitely gave me that salon professionally straightened look. What I love most is that you don't get that "i'm frying my hair" feeling as you're straightening. I would highly recommend!

I went to my sister's house with my usual blown- out hair. Then I saw her using this new incredible iron on my daughter's curly tangled hair and I was amazed! After she was done with my daughter, I told her, tell you what! I blew my hair this morning and I will by this hair straightener if you can straighten it out because it still looks poofy to me. After a 1/2 hour, my hair was so flat with no frizz and no poofyness. It's been 3 days since she did it and still my hair is flat with no frizz...how amazing is that?

I have really curly latina hair, and this by some miracle made it stick-straight. I must admit that after I'm done using the flat iron. It is a little dry and poofy, but my secret is to rub some vaseline on it. Call me ghetto, but that's what I do when I'm done and it comes out perfect. It lasts me a week and is really low maintenance after I work it for 2 hours. The only thing is that you should buy a hair mask, so you don't get mop hair.

I received this straightner as a gift, and was very skeptical about the "wet to dry" setting because I always thought it was bad to straighten your hair while it was wet, but after using it, it left my hair looking like I just got it professionally blown out. I actually had friends at work asking me if I just got my hair done at the salaon. I used to use the same straightner that my hairdresser used on my hair after blowdrying, but it never looked the same and left my hair poofy and frizzy. This straightener left my hair pin-straight. I did not have a problem with my hair smelling.

I liked this straightener at first. It made my long hair smooth and shiny. However, in the humid South, my hair now frizzes up like brown cotton candy, and does this weird flippy thing. A lot of the hair on the back of my head has been fried into teeny tiny curls - not a good thing. The straightener also has a HORRIBLE burnt smell when I turn it on. The coating on the plates has started to come off and it doesn't straighten damp hair anymore. I've ordered a new Sedu Revolution, but it has yet to arrive. If you want a long-term straightener that you will use often, this Remingotn is not the one for you.

I love this straightener. Previously I had a cheap generic flat iron that required me to run it veeeeery slowly over each little section of hair multiple times. i get far, far, far better results with this flat iron. All it takes is one slow swipe down each section of hair, and voila!- sleek, shiny hair. Admittedly, my hair isn't very coarse or curly, but I have a whole heck of a lot of hair that decided to become wavy a few years ago. My curly-haired friends love this straightener, too. I definitely recommend it.

I have wavy hair and I'm always fighting "the poof" that I get as soon as I walk outside. This straightener worked wonders on my hair. I use a styling heat protector before I start, and I don't think my hair has ever been as smooth. And it stays that way. You do have to go over it more than once; nothing could be that easy. Auto shut-off is a must for me, too, because I'm always leaving irons on when I leave the house.

I've been using this straightener for about 2 years and my hair has broken off a lot. It feels and looks so damaged. I like the straightener and it does work well, but it damages your hair. I'm buying a new staightene. It costs more, but I think it'll be worth it.

i have thick, coarse, frizzy hair, and I have had this straightener for about 2 years (this is the second one I have had because the first one broke). It does a good job straightening my hair when it is damp/dry, but when my hair is wet it takes about 90 minutes rather than 45, and another thing THIS THING HAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED MY HAIR!!! I CANT EVEN USE A COMB ON MY HAIR WITHOUT SEVERAL ENDS BREAKING OFF. I got sick of it, so I got a GHD which is very expensive, but it works wonders without all the damage. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone.
