This straightener does an excellent job with slightly damp hair. However, I have found that with truly wet hair, multiple passes with the iron are required, leading to too much damage. The medium-high heat settings (24-25) work well on thick wavy hair. The heat buttons are located such that I sometimes accidentally change the setting while using the iron. I used this iron for over a year, and then one day it popped with a spark and died.

I just received my Remington Wet 2 Straight ceramic straightener, and I love it. Previously I was using the MaxiGlide, which pulled out so much of my hair and damaged it to the point I had to stop using it. Being that I don't have to blow-dry my hair first, my hair is so silky. My daughter's hair, which is usually very kinky and curly, came out beautifully. It only took half an hour. Thanks Remington...I just bought 4 more as holiday gifts.

This is an awesome straightener, and it works perfectly on damp hair. Hair comes out super straight and sleek-looking. The shiny style lasts for 3 days, and it definitely cuts the hassle of blow drying! I would recommend this product to anyone who has found it hard to straighten their hair with frizz-free results...5/5 stars.

Ever since I started to care about my appearance, my hair has been thick, coarse, and frizzy. This device makes my hair smooth and shiny, and I would never leave my home again without using it. I usually wrap my hair in a super-absorbent towel after shampooing, so when I am ready to use the wet2straight, my hair will be damp. I spend about 15 minutes to get my hair dry AND straight. It is very easy to use, though I sometimes press the temperature buttons by accident. It makes a sizzling noise on damp hair, but is otherwise quiet, which makes it much more pleasant to use than the blowdryer. Now my hair looks as good as if I just got professionally blow-dried at the salon. I only need to use it after shampooing, and my hair will stay smooth and shiny for 2 to 3 days. It's hard to believe that you can get great-looking hair with minimal investment and efforts. Can't be happier.

My hair was really thick and curly...but after a few months of using this, my hair became thin and I can't wear it curly any more. It's better to straighten it dry whenever I straighten wet hair; the straightener begins smelling like burning plastic and stinks up the whole house!!! It looks good when you straighten it...but it KILLS YOUR HAIR!!!

I have very curly hair and this does the job well, as long as it is on a higher setting. However, I can't use it on very wet hair - it just doesn't work well and I don't want to risk damage. Damp hair is fine though!

I first bought this straightener about a year ago. The first couple months were great, I thought this straightener had truly worked wonders on my hair, since it's so thick & wavy that many other straighteners just couldn't do the job. But over the last few months, the frizz in my hair builds up so quickly and my locks get wavy almost an hour after straightening. I have to continuously restraighten again and again, which is nothing but damaging my hair. Also, you really CAN'T straighten your hair after getting a SHOWER. If your hair is soaking wet, you're better off blow-drying and THEN straightening it because trust me, after a few times going over the same piece of hair, YES it may be dry, but it's not even near straight. If I would go through this again, I probably wouldn't have bought this straightener! My hair becomes too high-maintenance with it.

For about the first month that I owned this straightener, I really liked it and thought it was very helpful for cutting down my styling-time. It did leave my hair shiny and smooth...although I have had it for about three months now, and I must say I am highly discontent with it. Just the other day i had to restraighten my hair about 5 times in one hour--it no longer keeps my hair straight. And I do not have very thick/coarse hair, I have thin hair which is generally easy to straighten.

I started using this straightener the summer before 8th grade, and let's just say no one recognized me. This straightener worked MIRACLES for me. I have extremley thick, frizzy, wild wavy-ish hair that refuses to do anything close to beautiful. This straightener did the trick. Without harming my hair, it made it slick, straight, smooth and stunning....unbelievable. However do not use it wet...it fries the ceramic coating off!! Using it several times with chlorined hair ruined my first straightener but I just bought my new one today. I would actually suggest the slimmer of the two straighteners because you can control styling much better. My Holy grail!!!!
