I am seriously shocked that people gave this anything other than five stars! I've had horribly thick, frizzy hair my entire life, and ladies this thing works wonders. My hair is completely straight for at least a day (no puffy back or anything), and if the next day, I don't wash or re-straighten my hair, I'll get some natural curl back. It looks AMAZING. Get this straightener.

I love this product. I have to admit I don't save any additional time styling my hair, but the results I get more than make up for it. I am African-American with medium coarse/length hair that is very prone to frizz. However, my bad hair days have now been banished forever. My hair is straight until I shampoo again. Never again will I blow-dry. There are so many advantages to using this "new" type of iron. I have gotten so many compliments on how nice my hair looks. I like looking in the mirror now!!!!

It does straighten my hair very well, but it also damages my fine, thin hair at the same time. After several uses, my hair is really dry and pretty much damaged. I brought this product because of the 5 star reviews, but was quite disappointed after all. I will recommend people buy a ceramic straighter.

I absolutely love this straightener! It really works well and heats up fast. It can be used on wet hair, but, you have to go over the same section 3-4 times. I blow dry my hair a little bit until it is damp; not drippy wet and not totally dry, and then use the straightener. It leaves my hair soft and straight. I have thick, long and very curly hair. I recommend using it on damp hair not wet. It takes me about an hour to do my hair from wet damp to dry straight.

This product is amazing! I have normal to thick wavy hair and it is amazing how it takes my hair from being wet to straight in a very short time. It usually only takes me 10-15 minutes to do my hair. I do it in layers starting from the bottom and work my way up. My hair is straight all day no matter what the weather is outside. I have cut my time in half in the morning because I use to blow dry and then straighten, now I can do it all in one easy step thanks to this product! I highly recommend this!

This product is okay. Its drying capabilities are barely adequate, and if you have a lot of hair it will take you forever. As a straightener, it is unexceptional. I'll stick to using my regular straightener.

OK, first off burned every time I used it because I tend to grab onto the plate right where the vents are (on the top of the plate)...other models have these vents on the edge of the unit, better design. Steam burns hurt! So, onto the fact that it shorted and turned itself on and off the third time I used it. And the electricity was crackling at the base of the cord where it met the unit. Yes, wet hair and electricity crackles are not my idea of a good time.

I was very reluctant to purchase this item thinking that either it would be very damaging to my hair and/or it would not straighten my hair. I was wrong on both accounts. I've used it 3 times and each time I love the results and so do others around me. I am bi-racial (black/white) and my hair is very wavy that sometimes become very frizzy when the humidity sets in. However, I've been in light rain and my hair is still STRAIGHT. As recommended by another customer of drugstore.com, I applied John Frieda Simply Sleek straightening balm before using this appliance.

This straightener is really amazing. I've tried EVERYTHING, including expensive straighteners, and this is the only product that has made my hair pin straight and lasts until you wash your hair again. I would highly recommend this for anyone with thick, wavy hair like mine.
