My daughter loves this straightener. Plenty of settings for any hair type. Settings for wet, damp or dry hair...also love the locking feature. Easy to use but could use a bit of a longer-than-average cord. Works great!

JUST BAD! Really tried on every setting with hair wet and dry or damp. It just doesn't work. very disappointing!

I've had this straightener for about two years. My hair was fine when I began using this product but after a few months, my hair was frizzy and looked damage. Every time I go to salon, my hair stylist always tells me that my hair is always dry and frizzy. I didn't know nor realized that it was the remington hair straightener is damaging my hair. The coating of the plates were also coming off which will damage the hair most. I bought a different straightener at the mall and now my hair looks healthy and not frizzy even if I don't use the iron. Don't waste your money n this product, buy something else. Try Amika.

The product is worth your money i just wouldnt use it on wet or damp hair. The steam that comes out the pores is extremely hot and can burn. It does take awhile to do your hair, but thats also depending on what type you have and what products you use. In the end- there are good turnabouts. If used too often may cause heat damage, but thats aswell with all heat hair products. In the end it leaves my hair pretty nicely and i do find its a good straightener for the price.

I love this iron, I had a Solia Iron until it stopped working. I bought this one after reading the reviews and it does the same job as my last iron, the only thing is that this one is least expenisve and it gives you the same results.

This product smells like burning hair when its on no matter how low the setting is. Damages hair. Makes hair frizzier. What a rip off! Even my 15 dollar hair straightener was a little bit better than this piece of junk! It damages my hair even when i use a heat protector spray.

I have layered med-long(about 3-4 inches past shoulder ), thick, coarse and wavy hair that I am trying to grow out. Because of the texture of my hair anytime i blow out my hair, low and behold the next day my waves return, not frizz, but my hairs' body and wave. And then there I go again attacking it with the blow dryer again(which totally dries my hair out). I hate blowing my hair out! Although I love the results I cannot stand the heat. I feel like I am going backwards in the cycle( blow drying straight, and then sweating the already dry pieces into frizz again and then going back over that peice and then sweating out yet another piece, etc.) and my husband hates being around me when I blow out my hair(we've had many arguments about heat and blowing out my hair). See our schedules are totaly different. He works from 12am -8am amd I work from 5am-12pm. So I find it difficult to find the right time to do my hair without waking him (because he's a vampire). This product is quiet(except for the steam hiss but thats nothing compared to a blow dryer). I am not a person who puts alot of product in my hair or likes to do my hair less than every 5 or 6 days. I have used it on dry hair and gotten good results, but my absolute favorite is damp/wet. I just apply Loreal heat seekers hot/straight on my damp hair, comb through and seperate small sections of hair starting at the back. I use setting 26 on damp hair to be safe and go over the same hair peice about 3-4 times. It is an easy process. If you have the patience to blow 1600 watts of hot air onto your neck with one arm and brush your hair over and over with the other arm, then this is an absolute breeze to use and in my opinion lasts way longer than a blow dry. People who have had a bad experience with this product probably didn't use it right. Also READ THE INSTRUCTIONS/DIRECTIONS for HEAT HAIR PRODUCTS when using with an iron or heat appliance. Alot of heat products are for DRY IRONING HAIR like Got2Be, but someone may think because the front of the bottle says for flat iron, that it can be used on wet hair for ironing, then their hair breaks or burns and they write terrible reviews and scare people away from an awesome product. Or they use it without using a heat protectant product or ironing on dirty hair. Or they may be putting to much hair in the iron. Remember it's an iron, so the thinner the peices, the straighter and shinier the hair. Not only does it fight frizz, but it also makes hair shiny(which is an obvious indication that moisture has been infused into your hair)! This product is THE BEST! Just remember to use it with a suitable hair protectant, Thermashine system and don't use it everyday! If you've already used it on wet hair don't over do it on dry hair!

The only way it straightens your hair is if you go over the same strand for half an hour. Even then, it leaves it frizzy. Don't buy this one!
