I first ordered the laundry soap because I'm very much into buying environmentally-friendly products. I thought that the scent would be okay (I love citrus) and it seemed to have great reviews already. But I was skeptical a little bit since every washer machine is different and I wasn't sure if I would have great results that everyone else has. But long story short, this laundry soap not only cleans my clothes and is environmentally friendly but it lasts a long time (4 months for many, many loads of clothes), smells fantastic yet isn't overpowering or causing allergic reactions (I can't use Downy because of that), and overall isn't that expensive. But here are some more details that will hopefully help you decide whether or not to buy this soap:

Pros:
1. citrus smell is indeed like grapefruit/other citrus fruits and doesn't overpower the smell of your clothes or cause allergies
2. the soap itself is very lightweight. I was surprised by how easy it was to lift it from the floor, even, to pour into my washing machine (front-loader HE).
3. the directions are easy to follow (one cap per load, up to 2 caps per load for heavy water or heavily-stained clothes)
4. smells go away and your clothes actually feel and smell clean
5. light stains go away without doing anything directly to them
6. environmentally-friendly (I can give you more details if you aren't convinced, I have taken organic chemistry and biochemistry)
7. compared with other laundry soaps the price is just a tiny bit more expensive but is worth it since the soap lasts a long time
8. for heavy stains or smells that don't come out in the first wash you can pour a little bit of soap on the stain or smelly area, rub it in, and it will go away in the next wash.

Cons:
1. I think this is due to not using fabric softener but my clothes are a bit more static-y (not too much, though).
2. You may need to put soap on stains since not all may come out in the first wash (depends how set the stain is too)
3. Not in stores

This is my favorite laundry soap. A little goes a long way, it smells citrus-y clean and works really well. (I hate the perfumed name brands.) I use a capful in the wash with a small scoop (only 1-2 TBSP) of Oxiclean or other Oxy cleaner. (Top-load washer) If I have any stains on clothes, I use a spray pre treater before washing. Everything always comes clean and doesn't smell like a perfume factory.

So little detergent, so much clean! I love this product!!! You need only 1oz to clean a load of laundry- even the towels I use to wipe my dogs muddy paws come out brand spanking clean! I recommend this product to anyone looking for a greener option for laundry. I find it is cheaper than green products I can get locally.

I had high hopes for this. I wanted an all-natural laundry detergent. However, I don't feel that it cleaned my clothes very well and it is rated poorly on the EWG website. Something to consider if you are buying this.

It smells good and it doesn't cause an allergic reaction, however it didn't get the clothes clean. It is too expensive to not clean well.
