This toothbrush finally ended our struggles with our 3 year old! We've tried the battery powered brushes, favorite character brushes, fun toothpastes, cups, everything... The Firefly finally did the trick. It's simple enough for my 3 year old to activate on his own (which is very important to him). He brushes for the full minute, and when it stops blinking, he says, "all done!". It works for us! No complaints.

I'm an adult, but I have a very tiny mouth and have to use kids' toothbrushes. This toothbrush is adorable and a nice shape (and I think it's pretty fun- very happy that it doesn't have Elmo on it) The bristles are perfect (not too hard on your gums not too soft for brushing). I would give it 5 stars, but I've had like 5 or 6 of these, and the timer almost never works correctly. I've had a couple that worked, 1 that only blinked if you pushed it the right way, and several that just keep blinking until you put them down and walk away for awhile. Basically, I love this toothbrush, I keep buying it over and over again, but if you want it as a tool that teaches your kids how long to brush, you're probably not going to get that.

This is a great teaching tool and makes it fun for children to brush. All of my three children love it and so far we have had the brushes for over two weeks and still the light works. Mind you, my children are very rough with their stuff, so this is impressive. Besides all of that, the base price is less expensive than the cartoon character brushes.

This toothbrush stopped blinking after the first time we used it. Now it sometimes blinks once, or a couple of times if we push the handle a certain random way, but it doesn't pulse, so it can't be used as a timer. Now it's just a plain old toothbrush.
