I've used several brands of pads in my life but these are the very best I've ever worn. Being that I am a big girl with big needs I do appreciate the comfort and wearability of these pads. I recommend these for any woman that needs maximum protection, comfort, and yes girls panty preservation, we all know how expensive our skivvies can get.

I have serious spinal problems w/ Cauda Equina, which results in complete incontinence. Fortunately, my pain meds help w/ the 'other' type of incontinence. Regardless, I'm stuck using incontinence products for the rest of my life. I have (skin) contact probs w/ diapers & overheating, so trying to find a heavy duty pad that works = difficult.
Was using another insufficient product before seeing these - which look much bigger. Figured the word 'Ultimate' meant something - boy was I wrong! After much research, apparently Tena's Ultimate isn't quite as absorbant as their Super or Super Plus - which seems pretty backwards to me!
This product definitely does not hold as much as they indicate (I've actually measured my usual amount (when getting tests) & these pads fall quite short! I would approximate that they only hold around 6 oz., if that! Even if the full pad isn't being 'used', they still LEAK like crazy over the sides - I have yet to NOT have to change my clothes every single time (which causes much difficulty w/ my cond. as it is)
All of this may or may not be attributed to the fact that they BUNCH UP in the middle, shortly after putting them on. The elastic sides don't offer much protection, as they need to be higher + need stronger elastic to keep them supportive.
Sorry for the mini-novel . . . just find the whole situation disconcerning
Tena needs to also list ON THE PACKAGING, the exact amount of absorbtion (in oz. preferably). I had spend a lot of time researching to find out all this info.
Tena also needs to add more padding or a different kind of abosrbing material - especially to keep you dry/ wetness away from your skin. I've seen products out there (non-incontinence) that turns liquid into gel - would be cool to develop this kind of technology in their pads somehow . . .
All in all, would not recommend to anyone that needs true bladder control products. They are ok for a little slow 'leakage', but that's about it. Same goes for their overnight pads as well. Take a look at the demonstration on their website . . . makes more sense now, as to why they have that confining ring for the blue liquid they pour on the pad! hmmmmm. . . .
Guess I'll be stuck using diapers again :-( despite the damage they do to my skin.
I know I suffer enough as it is, nevermind the added suffering & huge inconvenience substandard bladder protection creates . . . Tena & other companies need to get on the ball!
Comments about Tena Serenity Absorbency Pads, Ultimate, 36 ea:
I buy these pads because I like to have a comfortable pad but only use them if I stay in doors. They leak if I have an accident and get on the sides of my under ware. If I have a full day of chores outside or meeting with friends or family I use a Poise pad. I like these pads because they are so comfortable and soft but they just don't do the job of holding the leaks. Once you have a leak, they really need to be changed. Not the case with Poise. Poise will protect you from wet under ware and odor.

i have to take meds for congestive heart failure and these come in handy. durning the day, since i am disabled, i stay at home with my pjs, depends and tenas. when i have doctors appts or something and i dont take my meds as describe, i can use these with just my panties and feel confident there will not be any overflows.

Comments about Tena Serenity Absorbency Pads, Ultimate, 36 ea:
I've been pleased with Tena Ultimate for 3 years, but the most recent changes to the product made them less absorbent and less dependable. The new "lavender" pads tend to twist and bunch up, and they also don't mask odors as well as the older plain white Tena pads I still had on hand. Please fix these issues so I don't have to go back to trying other products again!

My continence nurse gave me a few of these to try because male guards were not handling my leakage. They are VERY absorbent but they are so thick that they feel like you have a log between your legs. Naturally they get heavy when wet and tend to sag unless you are wearing stretchy underpants.

Product has changed greatly recently and is currently useless. The "Ultimate" is no better a light pantie liner.
