The apple pie flavor is just ok. It is very bland and quite frankly disappointing. I first tried the marvelous Cherry Pie flavor and had high expectations. On the plus side, I am not tempted to eat two at a time, so I save on the calories!

I started with the lemon pie Lara Bars. They weren't what I expected, but they were pretty good, and pretty good FOR me too. So I bought more. In my second batch, I bought the banana nut bread, the apple pie, pegan pie, and another lemon. My favorite so far has been the apple pie. But the banana really tastes like banana bread. The bars are great to keep in my desk at work, and on the mornings I don't make it up in time to get to chow before I'm off to work while I'm here in Iraq, they make a great breakfast food too.

My daughter introduced these to ma a year or so ago, and I was hooked. I take these with me when I go to a movie, or know I'm going to be away from home a long time, and will get hungry. They're good even in the afternoon with tea. They taste good and have no aftificial anything; all fruit and nut, so I feel good about what I'm eating, rather than a sugary and greasy snack. The apple is good, but I like the cinnamon roll even better.

My husband and I eat Larabars constantly and have gotten friends and family hooked- we love that these are free of grains, refined sugars, soy, etc. We're physically fit and don't find that these have caused us to gain any weight at all, but then again we find the huge dose of nuts (and their fats) to be a plus- we don't go for any phony "low-fat" fad foods. These are all natural, and much easier than trail mix.
