We bought this three years ago when our first child began eating solid foods. We loved being able to give our son fresh fruit to munch on. He was able to suck out all the nutritious juices from apples, oranges, peaches, grapes etc, without needing to chew it all completely before swallowing. All the peeling and remains stay in the mesh. We didn't have to worry about him choking on the peeling, nor did we have to spend a lot of time cutting the peeling off. We loved it so much we bought two - he usually had one in each hand! Our second boy is 5 months. We can't wait to introduce these to him.

The Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder is wonderful! Our son got it at six and a half months loves it. At first he was a little confused by it but once he figured out that there was food inside the pouch he was thrilled. He looks so proud to be eating by himself. I put banana chunks, baby crackers, frozen fruit chunks and ice cubes in there for him and he loves it. However it does need to be cleaned right after he is done with it so nothing gets caked onto the mesh.

This is one of my current favorite baby products! My daughter LOVES it. We began using it at about 6 months, when we were beginning baby food and cereal. I put sliced soft fruit in it, like grapes, peaches, plums, etc. and she has a great time eating using this feeder. It is perfect for teething, too and even cold refrigerated fruit seems to soothe, in addition to frozen food like grapes. It's kind of a pain to clean, but it's easier if you remember three key things: One, always clean it immediately after use - don't let the food dry in it. Two, use the sprayer on your kitchen faucet to spray into the mesh pouch, and then reverse the pouch and spray in it the other way. Three, stick it in the dishwasher on the top rack on a tine and it should come out great! I recommend getting the two-pack. We use ours daily and it works out well to have an extra one ready all the time.

I gave a Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder to my grandson when he was about 6 months old. He loved it. Grapes were his favorite followed closely by cantalope and watermelon. I have given them to other new moms and they have loved them too. One word of warning - bananas are awful in the mesh. Everything else was easy to use and easy to clean!

I received this baby feeder as a gift as my daughter would have nothing to do with being fed baby food. It worked fine, my daughter loves chewing on bananas and other fruits and veggies in it, and it works like a dream for teething (put frozen fruit in it) BUT I only gave it 3 stars because the ORIGINAL BABY SAFE FEEDER is easier to clean and is also sturdier. This Munchkin one has a snap shut feature which gets food stuck in it and my daughter can open it with a little manipulation. The Baby Safe Feeder screws shut and my baby still hasn't figured out how to undo it and it is really easy to clean. I also encourage this to be bought for a baby first interested in finger foods (6/7 months) - don't wait until they are used to finger foods or they will just get frustrated trying to get the food out. It is great for the babies who won't eat regular baby food, too.
