Since they stopped selling Progaine in stores, I had been using Pantene Pro-V "Full & Thick" 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, and it did add volume to my hair, but it left it extremely greasy, and left a lot of gunk on my scalp, which caused itching. Progaine adds volume to my hair, without making it greasy - my scalp and hair are clean. Great stuff! Comments about Progaine Volumizing Shampoo, Thin Hair, 12 fl oz: It does maximize the hair on my head, and my hair is clean. But, I like a pretty scent in my shampoo (I'm girly), which this does not have. Also, my hair isn't shiny after using it. Again, I'm girly.

I used the Shielo Volume shampoo and conditioner and it is very concentrated, so you won't need alot of product (ie. "goes a long way"). The salon I go to sells this for almost $9 more than [...], so you won't find a better deal.
