Propecia 1mg is an androgen hormone inhibitor used to treat male pattern hair loss IN MEN ONLY.
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with Propecia 1mg. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. DO NOT START OR STOP any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, including narrowing or blockage of the urinary tract, trouble urinating, prostate cancer, a history of abnormal liver function tests or liver problems, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. USE OF PROPECIA 1mg IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you are or may be pregnant. Use of Propecia 1mg in CHILDREN is not recommended. Discuss with your doctor the risks and benefits of giving Propecia 1mg to your child. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about using Propecia 1mg.
Follow the directions for using Propecia 1mg provided by your doctor. PROPECIA 1mg COMES WITH A PATIENT INFORMATION LEAFLET. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about Propecia 1mg. Propecia 1mg may be taken on an empty stomach or with food. STORE PROPECIA 1mg at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) in a tightly-closed container, away from heat, moisture, and light. KEEP PROPECIA 1mg out of the reach of children and away from pets. Taking Propecia 1mg at the same time each day will help you to remember. CONTINUE TO TAKE PROPECIA 1mg even if your condition improves. Do not miss any doses. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF PROPECIA 1mg, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
DO NOT TAKE PROPECIA 1mg if you have had an allergic reaction to it or if you are allergic to any ingredient in this product. IT MAY TAKE SEVERAL MONTHS for Propecia 1mg to work. Do not exceed the recommended dose or stop taking Propecia 1mg without checking with your doctor. Stopping Propecia 1mg will result in a return within 12 months to the same amount of baldness as when you started. If your symptoms do not improve within 12 months, check with your doctor. You may need to discuss other treatment options. KEEP ALL DOCTOR AND LABORATORY APPOINTMENTS while you are taking Propecia 1mg. Propecia 1mg may interfere with certain lab tests, including prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests. Be sure your doctor and lab personnel know you are taking Propecia 1mg. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. INFREQUENTLY, PROPECIA 1mg may cause decreased sexual desire or ability. These effects usually decrease in men who continue to take Propecia 1mg. If they continue or become bothersome, check with your doctor. PROPECIA 1mg MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF CERTAIN BIRTH DEFECTS, including abnormal formation of genitalia in male fetuses. Propecia 1mg is coated to prevent contact with finasteride while handling undamaged tablets. The coating is not effective if the tablets are damaged, broken, or crushed. ANY WOMAN WHO IS PREGNANT OR WHO MAY BE PREGNANT SHOULD NOT HANDLE damaged, crushed, or broken tablets of Propecia 1mg. If a woman who is pregnant or may be pregnant comes in contact with crushed or broken tablets of Propecia 1mg, contact your doctor as soon as possible. DO NOT DONATE BLOOD while you take Propecia 1mg and for at least 1 month after your last dose of Propecia 1mg to prevent exposure through a blood transfusion to a pregnant woman. RARELY, CASES OF MALE BREAST CANCER have been reported in patients taking Propecia 1mg. Discuss any questions or concerns with your doctor. Tell your doctor right away if you develop breast changes such as lumps, pain, or nipple discharge. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. FOR WOMEN: PROPECIA 1mg IS NOT APPROVED FOR USE IN WOMEN. It may cause harm to the fetus. It is not known if Propecia 1mg is found in breast milk.
A SIDE EFFECT that may occur while taking Propecia 1mg is a change in sexual function. If it continues or is bothersome, check with your doctor. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience breast enlargement, lumps, pain, or tenderness; depression; nipple discharge; or testicle pain. AN ALLERGIC REACTION to Propecia 1mg is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue.
