It didn't moisturize as much as I had hoped. I have had eczema on and off since I was young, and this product didn't help very much. I would recommend CeraVe, which is what my dermatologist suggested. Also, the size is very small for price and I finished the tube in 2 weeks. Besides Cerave, try de-luxe 100% shea butter or Eucerin, which are better values. I tried Proteque on my hands and cuticles, which are swollen, red and itchy. It did practically nothing at all. I have tried 3 different prescription creams for eczema also, among other things, and nothing has worked. I would not buy this product again.

I liked this stuff at first, because it cleared up my skin for the first week I used it. Then it started drying up, and I broke out again. I think that if I need an additional moisturizer to use over the top of this one, then it's not worth the money. I won't buy it again, but I liked the way it didn't have any unpleasant odor, and it didn't make my condition worse.

I really like the product...I never knew you could use it on the face. I have acne, so maybe I'll try it out for that. I just use it on my hands...nothing wrong with my hands, I just like the fact it protects them. For all the people who says it dried out their skin...I do not use it as a moisturizer, just to protect my skin. I ALWAYS put a moisturizer on top of Proteque.

I have been treating my rosacea for six and a half years using Metrocream and tetracycline with symptomatic relief, but no true reduction in redness. This cream DOES reduce the red look with regular use, and though I still had to use my antibiotic to clear up a pustule, the redness has decreased enough that my husband has noticed.

I bought this to help my 8-month-old's skin. He has eczema and sensitive skin. I think it dried his skin even more, and with the alcohol content of the product it is no wonder. I don't see the miracle results every one is talking about, and I regret spending the money on this product.

I purchased this because my husband has extremely sensitive and dry skin. He's an old Elocon user. I think Proteque is a reasonable product (along the lines of a decent hand or body cream), but not worthy of all the hype I read in the reviews. And definitely not worth the price! In the end, my husband preferred to use a hand cream made by Gold Bond (he thinks it soothes his skin a lot better).
