Comments about Pulse by Lumiport Light Treatment, Black, 1 ea:

At first I didn't know about blue light therapy but I did my research and decided on Lumiport's Pulse. Blue light therapy works by killing P. acnes bacteria which are the typical culprits for inflammatory acne. Inflammatory acne is often treated topically with ingredients like sulfur, benzoyl peroxide, and tea tree oil but Pulse gets results much, much faster. That said, Pulse does virtually nothing for acne due to clogged pores (whiteheads/blackheads) because it doesn't do anything to unclog pores. Keep to exfoliants like salicylic acid, willow bark extract, and toner.

Pulse is a handheld device, just press the LEDs directly on the skin and let it shine. There are multiple settings:

Red/blue/purple lights: My primary use is to treat acne so I started using Pulse on blue. I read that purple light is more effective and stimulates repair, as my skin does feel firmer and tighter after treatments.

Self-timer for 1, 2, or 3 minutes: Unfortunately, the timer does not stay saved. It always defaults to 3 minutes and when I want multiple shorter treatments I have to set it every single time.

Spot/full treatments. It works great on large areas of the face but, on smaller areas, it feels bulky especially around the nose even with the spot setting.

WARNING! When using Pulse for an extended period of time, it does get hot. After using it for 15 minutes, which allows for up to 5 three-minute treatments, any use after would leave my skin with a mild burn. I've since reduced my use to two-minute treatments which seems to be just as effective.

I'm in my early thirties with acne since my teenage years and, like most, tried everything I could to treat my problem. I still keep to my skin care regiment and Pulse is a great addition. I've use Pulse every day for over a month now and I've noticed fewer inflammatory break outs. As cliché as it sounds-- even folks at work tell me I'm clearing up nicely. I'm really impressed with my results.

Hope this helps. Take care!
