I order these bars by the case (best to get them when they're on sale). They help control my blood sugar. They're sweet, but not too sweet. I enjoy them best when they're straight out of the refrigerator or freezer, although the product comes to room temperature VERY quickly. I carry a couple in my purse in case I feel my blood sugar declining. With 20g of protein per bar, this is infinitely better than eating a candy bar, but just as satisfying. The Chocolate Deluxe is the only flavor I buy.

I have used this product for several years. After my gastric bypass, I needed a protein source and I started using Pure Protein bars as a meal replacement on the days I worked. Sometimes, I used them for breakfast. The Chocolate Deluxe bar used to be the consistency of a dense brownie with chocolate chips and a really nice chocolate coating. Now it is the consistancy of taffy and it sticks to your teeth as well as the roof of your mouth...hard to answer the phone with only a small bite in your mouth. I am in the process of locating a replacement. I will not buy this again.

Mornings I run late, skip breakfast or eat a bar?... Bar of course! ... NEVER skip your first meal, it regulates the metabolism for the remainder of the day ... One choc bar with a steaming mug of coffee starts the morning on a relaxed note... I don't cook, but need protein to build healthy skin, without too many calories... Wish price was a bit cheaper, so I could practice this EVERY morning of the year
