I have color treated, curly hair (not super tight curls, but quite curly if I let it air dry) and my hair DRIES OUT QUICKLY with heat styling and products. I use this to get rid of build up at least once a week. This product came HIGHLY recommended by my stylist and I like it. It appears to not fade the color of my hair too quickly (my hair fades FASTER THAN OTHERS). My ONLY complaint is that it does leave your hair tangled and feeling a bit dry....BUT I use this as an opportunity to use a deep conditioner after since it is cleansed of build up, the deep conditioner can work best. This counteracts any tangles or dryness. It does leave my hair healthier and more responsive to products.

I have tried shampoos for 40 years looking for one that does not cause my scalp to dry out, flake or get sores. This not only gave me a healthy scalp, my hair is thick and even though I have highlights done regularly and blow dry my hair, it looks and feels very healthy.

The product smells horrible! It dries out your hair(I have color treated hair), but it did leave my hair soft.

Glad to find Pureology online since several salons I called did not carry it. Unlike many other herbal shampoos, this one actually leaves my hair feeling clean, especially after perspiring heavily in the scalp.

Okay, so we all have to use a clarifier once in a while to reduce product build up. None of us really like to use these types of products as they generally strip hair of everything! This product works good, not great, but it did get the product out of my hair without drying it out too much.

Like all Pureology products, this one does what it's supposed to; it cleans cleans cleans. You need to follow up with a pureology conditioner or a good conditioner you trust b/c it makes your hair squeak. I purchased this b/c Selsun Blue gave my hair a light greenish tint, and this shampoo has definitely helped.

This is a clarifying shampoo, meaning it's supposed to remove build-up if you leave it on for 2 minutes. It usually helps the feel of my hair. Miner is fine and dry, and conditioners and styling products make it too soft and limp. This doesn't fix it right away every time; sometimes the hair is still too soft, but by the next day it's in good shape. If you don't feel any build up in your hair, you don't have to leave it on and it still cleanses.
