I wish I would have realized that the ingredient list changed. I have multiple skin allergies (parabens, propylene glycol, fragrance, +more) and have to read ingredient lists carefully. I have used this product for years and was glad that it was gentle and free of parabens and something I could use daily. Last summer I noticed that my face was covered with bumps and just chalked it up to adult acne. My skin cleared up over the winter and I didn't use the sunscreen again until the last week of March. Within a day of using the sunscreen, the bumps had reappeared on my face, neck, arms, and upper back - everywhere I had applied the Purpose sunscreen. It's 3 weeks later and my skin has still not returned to normal.

I am so disappointed that the product changed (and aggravated with myself that I didn't catch it). Beware if you have allergies to parabens! Johnson & Johnson, I wish you would have warned your loyal customers with prominent "change of formulation" markings on the box.

I've used this product for nearly 7 years now to control my facial eczema. The OLD formula was excellent and did this perfectly. Today I purchased a new bottle and was painfully shocked at the sunscreen smell and horrible burning sensation on my sensitive skin. They have replaced Titanium dioxide with Oxybenzone and Octisalate which are irritants. DO NOT buy this product if you have sensitive skin!

I struggle with acne and this is the only moisturizer I have found that doesn't leave my face feeling oily. I really like that it has the spf as well so I don't have worry about two different products.

Agree with several other users, Formula has changed!!! ... Causes redness, breakouts, face itches ... This is NOT typical Johnson & Johnson products ... it is NOT non-allergenic... My Dermatologist was surprised as well, caused major inflammation under my skin cells, swelled bad ... I will not be using the remaining lotion in the bottle

I have used this product my whole adult life. I still have acne and oily skin at age 38. Purpose is not formulated to control shine but it does not increase the oil. With other brands, my skin would break out or be very oily. (I only bought other moisterizers because I ran out while traveling or Purpose was not instock or carried by the store).

The moisturizer goes on easy, no smell, not greasy and absorbs well.

My dermatologist recommended this product to me when I had reactions to other product, and it has been fantastic. I don't use it all the time. I use it when I need to give me skin a break from other products that I start to develop sensitivity with, and this lotion sort of resets my skin and brings it back to the original state. So I must have it just in case. It's great price, so keep some in your car to put it on any time you need it.

This new formulation burns my face. I was very unhappy and have an old bottle and a new bottle of Purpose Dual Treatment - and tested them side by side. The new bottle burns my face.

I had used and really liked Purpose Dual Treatment for over 10 years. It was the best lotion I could use on my face and I used it religiously after every shower. I am really bummed and can't use the product anymore after they changed their formulation.

I hope they revert to your original formula - I can no longer use the product and am very bummed. I've searched stores for the old formula - I'd buy a bunch if I could find it to hold me a few more years if I could find it.

Note their own webesite doesn't allow comments to be submitted - it always reports an error and to come back later - so they probably will never hear from folks complaining and think it is all fine.

This product was recommended by my dermatologist. Not only is it fragrance-free, but it lasts until I remove it - usually when I shower. With the SPF 15, I never have to worry any further about UVA / UVB either. Thanks to this "miracle" lotion, I ALWAYS feel worry-free about dry skin on my face and neck.

I had been using this product for over 20 years and just bought a new bottle. I immediately noticed something was wrong. My face was stinging and became red. I tried it for a week hoping for a change but the same reaction continues. I am very disappointed because I loved the old formula. I hope they will switch back to the old formula if they notice a drop in sales. I will now have to shop around for a gentle formula.
