Drugstore's ingredient screen doesn't show it, but what Drugstore will send you is the new formula. The manufacturer's website doesn't even reflect the change last time i checked about a week ago. The list of inactive ingredients is completely different also. This is a complete reformulation and not in a good way. It's too bad. My 4 star rating is because I loved the old product (a 5) so wasn't sure what rating to give here. VS Most Liked Negative Review Warning - New formulation I agree with the previous reviewer. I've been using Purpose lotion for over 10 years. It was recommended by my dermatologist and was the only lotion that I have found that keeps my facial skin looking good with no reaction. Everything else that I have tried over the years causes a mild burning sensation and redness. Sadly, the new formulation does too. J&J's helpline was not helpful. They sent me a coupon for other J&J products, which I don't use, duh! I've been trying to buy all of the older formulation that I can find... Comments about Purpose Dual Treatment Moisture Lotion SPF 15 Sunscreen, 4 fl oz: A dermatologist recommended this product for my daughter several years ago as her facial skin was really dry. This product does the trick! It moisturizes, softens and is just wonderful. As local drugstores no longer carry this, I order it on line for her. Best Uses Comments about Purpose Dual Treatment Moisture Lotion SPF 15 Sunscreen, 4 fl oz: I wish I would have realized that the ingredient list changed. I have multiple skin allergies (parabens, propylene glycol, fragrance, +more) and have to read ingredient lists carefully. I have used this product for years and was glad that it was gentle and free of parabens and something I could use daily. Last summer I noticed that my face was covered with bumps and just chalked it up to adult acne. My skin cleared up over the winter and I didn't use the sunscreen again until the last week of March. Within a day of using the sunscreen, the bumps had reappeared on my face, neck, arms, and upper back - everywhere I had applied the Purpose sunscreen. It's 3 weeks later and my skin has still not returned to normal. (2 of 2 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Comments about Purpose Dual Treatment Moisture Lotion SPF 15 Sunscreen, 4 fl oz: I've used this product for nearly 7 years now to control my facial eczema. The OLD formula was excellent and did this perfectly. Today I purchased a new bottle and was painfully shocked at the sunscreen smell and horrible burning sensation on my sensitive skin. They have replaced Titanium dioxide with Oxybenzone and Octisalate which are irritants. DO NOT buy this product if you have sensitive skin! Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend (2 of 2 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Comments about Purpose Dual Treatment Moisture Lotion SPF 15 Sunscreen, 4 fl oz: I struggle with acne and this is the only moisturizer I have found that doesn't leave my face feeling oily. I really like that it has the spf as well so I don't have worry about two different products. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Best Uses Comments about Purpose Dual Treatment Moisture Lotion SPF 15 Sunscreen, 4 fl oz: Agree with several other users, Formula has changed!!! ... Causes redness, breakouts, face itches ... This is NOT typical Johnson & Johnson products ... it is NOT non-allergenic... My Dermatologist was surprised as well, caused major inflammation under my skin cells, swelled bad ... I will not be using the remaining lotion in the bottle Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend (4 of 4 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Best Uses Comments about Purpose Dual Treatment Moisture Lotion SPF 15 Sunscreen, 4 fl oz: I have used this product my whole adult life. I still have acne and oily skin at age 38. Purpose is not formulated to control shine but it does not increase the oil. With other brands, my skin would break out or be very oily. (I only bought other moisterizers because I ran out while traveling or Purpose was not instock or carried by the store). Was this review helpful? I don't use it all the time. I use it when I need to give me skin a break from other products that I start to develop sensitivity with, and this lotion sort of resets my skin and brings it back to the original state. So I must have it just in case. It's great price, so keep some in your car to put it on any time you need it. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful?
