Works fine, but is a bit drying and also should be noted that it contains both SLS and fragrance with are NOT very friendly for sensitive or problem skin. I'll finish the bottle and then switch to something without them.

I, like many, had acne and used the harsh abraisive stuff. Then my derm suggested this. I really liked it but it was heading into winter and mixed with my skincare regimine it was a little too drying so I switched to Cerave. Fast forward to summer and all the goopy sweaty, oily sunscreen mess that your skin becomes and this worked GREAT to de-oil my face but not over dry it.

I've tried almost every facewash under the sun for my acne that has plagued me for the past 7 years. I had started using the Olay Foam wash face for Oily skin along with some medicine from the dermatologist. For the first time, I was starting to see a difference until I ran out of both.

These facewash finished what the other started and did even better. My forehead is smooth for the first time in almost 8 years. I don't get the big cystic acne anymore. My cheeks are clear with some very rare tiny bumps. Even with my sensitive skin, I found any spot treatment will work where anything used to irritate my skin.

A little goes a long way. I use about a pea-sized amount every time and it's enough.

My daughters have acne and are using perscription Retin-A as well as oral medication to treat their acne but we found that they were getting very dry spots of their faces. We eventually linked the excessive dryness to the type of facial cleansers they were using. After trying many different products we found this one to be the best. Their skin is not dry or oily after washing.

This is a very gentle cleanser. Probably the best cleanser you can use that effectively removes dirt and impurities from pores without drying out the skin or irritating it in any way. Although this product did not improve my acne-prone skin, it's a great cleanser to use in combination with other products that are specifically targeted at healing acne.

This is the BEST. It cleans gently and that's that - no gimmicky stuff like "microbeads" that do nothing and can actually cause breakouts in me due to chemicals etc. I use this every night before bed and most mornings. Using this and petroleum jelly (you know the brand...) as a moisturizer religiously has made my skin look PERFECT which I have never been able to say before. It's the best combo! For the moisturizer, I take just a little bit and warm it up in my hands then apply a super thin layer all around my face, every time immediately after I wash. I also use a scrub washcloth now and then. No product/chemicals/goo needed to exfoliate! And so cheap. I LOVE MY SKIN!!!!

I have been using this cleanser for 15 years now. It was originally recommended by my dermatologist when I was a teen with teenage acne problems. I have very fair sensitive skin and went through all the prescribed medications that irritated my skin with no relief. This is the best cleanser out there. Even as a loyal user, I will occassionally try new products...and always go back to this-nothing can beat it!! I keep a bottle in the shower and one on the bathroom sink and use it twice a day with a toner and moisturizer.

This is the only place I have been able to find the 12 oz bottles- the first time I've seen it actually, and will buy those from now on because it is a much better value. This is such a gentle cleanser for all skin types I imagine I will be using it for another 30 years.

After years of searching for the perfect cleanser (I'm 36 with skin that is moody), I found Purpose. Purpose is gentle enough to use twice daily, yet is the first cleanser I've used that thoroughly removes my makeup. Previous cleansers, including many high-end brands, still required using a couple of cotton balls worth of toner to remove excess traces of makeup. Another plus is that a little goes a long way: a 6-ounce bottle lasts me at least 2 months. In the mornings, I will mix in a teaspoon of sugar to exfoliate my skin. It's a lot less expensive than store-bought exfoliants, and just as effective.
