This is one of the best products I've found. It smarts a bit when you first apply it but that soon fades and the swelling and pain soon fade.

I am a lifelong, chronic canker sore sufferer, and these patches are the only thing that make my life bearable. I use them overnight only - as other reviewers have said, they are unpleasant and often visible during the day, plus they'll come right off with eating/drinking and sometimes talking. So daytime is useless. Nor do I find that they really cure anything.

BUT if put on overnight on a regular basis (my sores take days to resolve), they keep the canker sore from getting super inflammed. This is the difference between a managable, somewhat uncomfortable canker sore and a monster that prevents me from eating/talking/living my life. So for that, I am eternally grateful. They're expensive and annoying, but they're the only thing that has worked so far.

A couple of tips based on comments. One, if they're not sticking, it's because you didn't get your skin dry enough before you put them on. This is also dependent on location - some places they stay great and some they don't, based on how moist those parts of your mouth are, what the surface is like, how often you move it, etc. It's really going to depend on where you get the sore. But definitely make sure it's super dry. Then go to bed and don't move your mouth (if it's a difficult location).

Also, in the morning, if the patch hasn't dissolved and is somewhere visible, I usually cut into it with my teeth to take the bulk of it off. Gross, I know, but this avoids having to pull it off (ouch!) and leaves a thin coating of protection that helps ease pain a little bit longer and wears off pretty quickly so you don't look like a freak.

I had two painful canker sores on my tongue. If you read the box for this product, you will assume that the patches are easy to place on any sores in your month... this was simply not the case.

I went through an entire box and all the patches would just fall off my canker sores after a few minutes. It is misleading to say that you can have these patches on when eating or drinking.... just impossible. And I found the product to be expensive as well (you only get 6 patches).

The company needs to more honest and accurate on their packaging. Or develop a product that is easier to use and actually stays on!

I've tried this when I have a really painful canker sore and the white spot was gone overnight. It definitely works for me but it's really pricey. I've tried 2 other products and they were not as effective as this. I will definitely repurchase this over and over if I ever get another sore and ran out of this product. The other one I tried was also a patch but it's all natural. It did not work at all and I've used 4 patches on my sore.

I get frequent cankers. I had one canker that was so large and painful that I couldn't eat and it even hurt to talk. I applied a patch and the pain was gone within minutes and the canker was practically gone by the next day.

I had a huge outbreak that came out of no where. I had 5 sores, 2 on the very back of my tongue near my last molar and 1 near the middle of my tongue on the same side and one near the front on the same side and also one near the back of my gums. Since mostly all my sores were touching my teeth, I was in excruciating pain, I couldn't swallow, eat, or talk.

The thing I like about these is that it does have some relief, however because of the curvature of my tongue, I felt that if I would have had one on my cheek, on a more flatter surface it would have been better. And the taste, it has a very very little mint essence but it disolves into this bitter vitaminy taste that I disliked and it made my stomach hurt.

I think most of the sores are healed now. It has been 24 hours, so thats great, I just think it would be better on a surface that wasn't curved and not my tongue. Plus the price is expensive too.

This works from the onset of a canker sore.
I have outbreaks and this product kills them before they become so bad that I can't eat or drink.

When I went to the drug store, I thought I would be stuck with only a liquid/gel pain reliever again, that only lasts about 15 minutes...but I saw this patch treatment that stayed in place for up to 8 hours and I was instantly ready to try it. I have been plagued with continuous bouts of canker sores my entire life. I did some research and found out that toothpastes with SLS actually cause them. So make sure to get SLS-free mouthcare products.

You need to blot the sore dry and ensure your finger is also dry when you place it. Hold for about 20-30 seconds and it's on. You have to wait about 30-45 minutes for it to turn into a protective gel...if not, chewing food may be difficult when the hard tablet gets in the way. Some may find it annoying when it sticks to your teeth.

I experienced instant pain relief. My patch only lasted 3 hours, but that is all dependent on location, eating, talking, etc. I'm sure it would stick all night.

Expensive, but totally worth it! I only had to use one patch and my canker sore was gone in no time. Before the patch begins to soften and form to your mouth it can be kind of bulky and awkard. So put it on well before you have to leave the house or eat. You may want to cut the patch in half if your sore isn't that big. Buying another box to stock up!
