I recently got a cold sore on the upper right corner of my lip and I've got them before in other occasions and as you know they are HORRIBLE! My cold sores last a very long time!! So this time I wasn't going to wait it out or try home remedies. I bought this product and at first and I was confident it would work due to the great reviews it had but then after day 3 it hadn't gotten any better at all. I'm on day 5 and its bigger and very painful. Would not recommend this product at all. Very unsatisfied.

I recently started suffering from cold sores and was desperate for a quick, REAL remedy. I'd tried antiviral horse pills from the doctor, and they did nothing, a certain OTC ointment that is always advertised on TV never worked, lysine supplement vitamins didn't work, either. I read the reviews on this and was skeptical, but it is the best thing I've used to prevent a cold sore from becoming the usual full-blown horror show. Even after the blister has appeared, I just slather this on it, and no joke, an hour or two later, the blister is completely gone. It's amazing. It is green, but it goes on clear, and I'd rather have a shiny spot on my lip for a few hours rather than a cold sore! Even after a full-blown breakout, it dramatically speeds healing by several days. I always carry one around for emergencies and have recommended it to my friends. Doesn't dry, smells pleasant (like eucalyptus), and is not at all irritating. It's a miracle product.

I was amazed at how well this product works. I found it after doing some research on-line. I noticed the ingredient combination is listed on Web-MD as having been clinically tested, so I decided to try it rather than buying more Abreva. I used it on the day after the cold sore appeared and it was half the size of my normal cold sores, and healed in half the time. It was so small I was not embarrassed to leave my house. I do not get them often, but I will make sure I always have a tube of this in my medicine cabinet. I noticed the price was significantly higher in my local drug store than on drugstore.com.

I promise you -- I'm not a shill (acting enthusiastically to entice other customers). I have suffered with cold sores from early teenage years - I'm 48. I found this product while actually going to a pharmacy to by one of those other products (which never worked for me, btw). I was so fed up with dealing with this current break out, that I (once again) was willing to throw down $$ for the "hope" that maybe, just maybe this time, Abrevia would actually make a difference. I came upon Lysine+, read the label and it looked -- interesting! It had the right ingredients and it was surprisingly low priced compared to the other salves, balms and creams.

After three days now -- I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. I think I will become a lifetime customer. Thank you thank you thank you. :) :) :) The discoloration is vanishing, the tingling is gone, no inflammation. And I'm feeling more confident when I go to dinner (sitting up close and personal) with friends and business associates.

Really -- I just about gave up hope. This green goo is the real deal!

I am a 56 year old woman who has been getting cold sores since high school (1970's). I had tried everything on the market to no avail. One day my son came home from the vitamin store he works at and brought me a tube of Quantum to try on my 2 blisters. I thought I had died and gone to heaven! Finally, a product that doesn't cost a fortune and actually works. Within days instead of weeks my fever blisters are gone! No huge, itchy, sore blisters anymore. This is the only product I will ever use for my fever blisters!

I never write reviews, but I am so blown away by this product, that I feel compelled to share how awesome this is.

When I breakout in cold sores, my whole mouth is affected. For about a miserable week or two, my lips are just crusted over (nasty!) and it's horrible and super PAINFUL! I used Abreva, but I didn't feel like it was really working. And at about $15-20, I expected more from it.

Then I found this gem, Lysine +. I applied it the day after I broke out, and within a few hours, my cold sores were healing! I couldn't believe it. I applied it whenever I felt some tightness or when I feel like I needed to (about once ever hour or two). It also kept my lips moisturized, unlike Abreva. I used Lysine+ directly onto my cold sores and the skin surrounding them, then applied carmex to the rest of my lips that weren't affected by the sores to keep the rest of my lips moisturized. About one-two days of relentless application later, my cold sores were gone! SWEET!

I also love the ingredients in Lysine+. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there are many healing and soothing products like olive oil, beeswax, and vitamin E, as well as tea tree oil.

This thing is bigger than abreva, so you're getting more bang for your buck. Oh, did I forget to say that it actually works? Cause it does!

Needless to say, I'm never going back to Abreva. It's too expensive, and it doesn't work as nearly as well as Lysine+.

I guess the only negative aspect I can think of is that this product is that it's a bit glossy. I usually apply cold sore medication around my lips as well, so as a female, the glossiness around my lips is a little embarrassing when I'm out. But with the way that this product works, I really don't mind.

I rarely have cold sores (once every 10 years), but I felt that distinct sensation the other evening & I was distressed that we had no Abreva in the cabinet. Alas, my husband had a tube of this Quantum Lysine in his dop kit, so he handed it over. I've never seen this product before & thought it was odd that it's a super-natural, herbs & oils kind of thing. Anywho, it was so soothing the moment I applied it - heavenly. I applied it a few times the following day & again the next night and that was it. The cold sore never developed - it was stopped in its tracks. And all with a wonderful, herbal scent & silky feel. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT & I'm buying a tube to keep in the cabinet.

Preventive for cold sores/fever blisters. Feels good when applied to dry lips. It's all natural. Smells very herbal (good). It's pretty shiny when you put it on, but absorbs quickly. Best before going to bed or on the beach.

I would like to state that this product is unbelievable!! My entire adult life I have had cold-sores they are embarrassing and ugly and nothing, nothing, nothing has ever come close to how this has helped me!! NOTHING! Originally I didn't know what to use, putting all kinds of stuff on it and only made it worse, then someone told me about abreva..and I've used that ever since (for YEARS) But it kind-of works..and kind-of doesn't. I decided to try something new...and IT'S CHEAPER! AND I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW IT WORKS INSTANTLY!! INSTANTLY!! There is NOT a product out there like this! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!
