My dry mouth has actually prevented me from singing, because long rehearsals and performances would cause my mouth to get so dry I couldn't shape words, would actually lisp and it would be very uncomfortable - lips and mouth burning. This product actually changed that! I have used it now during rehearsals and performances and although it lasts effectively only about 2 hours, it has saved my ability to sing. The tab on the roof of the mouth doesn't impede singing or speaking, so it would be great for public speaking as well. It has a tendency at times to sluff off bits of gel that are kind of strange, but otherwise this is a very good solution to a serious dry mouth condition. I don't know that I would use this on a daily basis - water, mouth moisturizers, etc. are less expensive by far, but if you need longer relief and can't have those things with you, this is the only solution I have found. I tried this last night and wasn't crazy about the taste but felt if it did the job, it would be worth it. THE PART THAT IS SUPPOSED TO DISSOLVE DID NOT DISSOLVE AND I HAD TO USE HOT WATER AND A TOOTHBRUSH TO SCRAPE IT OFF THE ROOF OF MY MOUTH! Now I have a sore roof. I won't be using it again. Comments about Quantum OraMoist Dry Mouth Discs 16ea, 16 ea: OraMoist Dry Mouth Discs work very well!! I suffer from dry mouth as a side effect of one of my medications and these things are great!! They stick to the roof of your mouth and slowly dissolve, helping to keep your mouth hydrated. They're weird to use for the first time (because they sort of become jelly-like in layers and they don't have much of a flavor until near the end) but they're easy to get used to. I only wish they were available with a minty flavor... rather than the fruity flavor (which is pretty much just a lemony flavor). I've tried XyliMelts which are the next closest thing to these and they don't seem to work as well. XyliMelts don't have the jelly-like quality. If you suffer from dry mouth ever, I really recommend these!! =) I only gave them 4 stars because I really wish they had a mint flavor available. Best Uses Comments about Quantum OraMoist Dry Mouth Discs 16ea, 16 ea: My hygenist recommended these as I have dry mouth due to medication and being a mouth breather when I sleep. The first time it was difficult for me to get it on the roof of my mouth, but the second time and thereafter I've had no problem.They dissolve while you sleep and when I wake in the morning, I don't feel like I have a mouth full of sawdust. I've used other mouth moisteners in the past and they've made me drool, these add just the right amount of moisture. I am sensitive to taste and odor, these are not offensive and don't cause my stomache to be upset. Comments about Quantum OraMoist Dry Mouth Discs 16ea, 16 ea: Recently added this tablet to my usual bedtime routine. A special toothpaste/mouthwash for dry mouth. My dry mouth was so severe, it would wake me. My tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth and so dry & uncomfortable I could not sleep.. This little tablet is AMAZING! I actually sleep thru the night! Whatever the cause, this product effectivly relieves the dry mouth symptom! It's only negative is the cost. This product allowed saliva to be stimulated all night. Even though I use a humidifer in my mask I still was having severe dry mouth. This product has made it possible for me to get a good nights rest again. Amazing how a simple small patch could be so revulutionary for my purposes.
