I used this product back in the 80's and 90's whenever I could find it.

I was thrilled to find it again. It has revitalized my hair. (I'm 46 and now dye my hair.)

My skeptical 19 year old daughter finally tried it on her long, dry, thick, blonde hair. She didn't performing the treatment on herself, so I did it for her, and left her all day with the hot oil treatment on her hair, then wrapped her head in a grocery store plastic bag.

Her hair was completely transformed, and she took several tubes back with her to college and uses one per week. Now her friends are asking about them!

If you follow the directions it says to shampoo hair first then use the hot oil then just rinse it out with water. I did this but it left my hair kind of dull & it felt a little filmy. I used this product in the morning and by the end of the day I felt like I needed to wash my hair again. My hair did feel softer though after I washed it the second time.

I generally use this or any other hot oil--apply, do housework or take a walk, then shampoo for smooth, shiny hair. My hair is medium-fine in texture, and shampooing after the oil does seem to eliminate that limpness factor.

I use the hot oil treatment for the first time, and I didn't really like it. My hair has no shine. I guess I need another kind of treatment.

I don't think this product is bad at all; I have thick coarse hair and after using it, my hair seems to be a little more manageable.

I didn't quite like this as much as Alberto VO5 because of how limp it made my hair. It was certainly soft, but the shine of my hair wasn't in its brilliance as usual.

This hot oil treatment is the very best. I have very coarse, thick black hair. Using this oil I leave it on my hair, place a shower cap on and do some housework, and bam -- in about 20 minutes, you wash and have silky, unbelievably gorgeous hair!
