I have dry damaged hair due to relaxers and poor mentainance. I decided to try this product expecting that it would bring life to my hair. I read some good reviews so went ahead and use it. I was quite dissapointed with the results. Infact there was no change to my hair except for the sweet scent. I would be better off using my regular tresseme conditioner.

At one point I burned my hair, which is very fine but very curly. This product really helped teat the burned ends. Now most of the ends have been cut off and my hair has regrown. I use the hot oil treatment every 2 weeks and it work really well. After using my hair is soft and shiny and each curl is highlighted! The only complaint is that since my hair is fine the oil treatment makes it a bit limp. After washing my hair the next day then it looks fab!!

I've been a fan of Queen Helene products for years (LOVE the Mint Julep Masque), so when I saw this product, I thought, "Why not?" I must admit that I am somewhat disappointed. The treatment worked, but it is not excellent.

For those with already-healthy hair looking for a pick-me-up, I'm sure this would work fine. But for those seeking more, I'd look for something else. I'll be switching back to my VO5 Weekly Intense Treatment.

I really wanted to love this hot oil treatment but I just couldn't. I used it on my long, wavy, healthy color treated caucasian hair and it didn't do much good. I noticed a bit of frizz and a bit of shine. Thats about it. I gave it another try a week later with the same results. I love QH and use the masks, but I'm not loving the hot oil. I've gone back to my weekly jojoba warm oil treatments.

I've used Queen Helene products for many years. This hot oil treatment works great for relaxed or permed hair, and for natural hair. I made the decision to stop using unhealthy chemicals in my hair in August 2002, when I made the decision to loc my hair. I am very satisfied with the results I get from using this hot oil treatment. The product smells great and leaves my locs moisturized and looking fabulous. My using Queen Helene Cholesterol Hot Oil Treatment is part of the reason why I often get compliments on my hair.

My hair is very dry and damaged and thin from yrs of coloring, etc and a professional stylist recommended I try this. I did and even used a heat cap with it but really saw no difference.
Hair was still dry and damaged looking. Ive used it twice.
Maybe it works on hair that is mildly dry and not too bad of shape? I really saw no difference and was dissapointed.

This is a good standard hot oil treatment.I color my hair,so in order to combat dryness I use this product about every ten days.

If you follow the directions it says to shampoo hair first then use the hot oil then just rinse it out with water. I did this but it left my hair kind of dull & it felt a little filmy. I used this product in the morning and by the end of the day I felt like I needed to wash my hair again. My hair did feel softer though after I washed it the second time.

I generally use this or any other hot oil--apply, do housework or take a walk, then shampoo for smooth, shiny hair. My hair is medium-fine in texture, and shampooing after the oil does seem to eliminate that limpness factor.
