The drugstore.com™ Pharmacy has partnered with BioScrip Pharmacy Services, Inc. for prescription fulfillment and dispensing. All prescription products are sold to you by BioScrip Pharmacy Services, Inc. The drugstore.com pharmacy was one of the first pharmacies to be and remains certified through VIPPS, the Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Site program administered by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. BioScrip Pharmacy Services is also VIPPS certified. BioScrip Pharmacy Services is registered under 21 CFR Part 1301 and can dispense and ship prescription medications, including controlled substances, via the internet to all 50 states and the District of Columbia. In order to dispense prescription medications, including controlled substances, the drugstore.com™ pharmacy requires legal prescriptions from U.S. licensed doctors. Neither the drugstore.com™ Pharmacy nor BioScrip Pharmacy Services, Inc. employs any physicians for the purpose of medical evaluations or writing or re-writing prescriptions. Our fulfillment partner, BioScrip Pharmacy Services, Inc., employs only licensed pharmacists and has extremely high safety and quality standards.

BioScrip Pharmacy Services complies with Section 311(a) of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 831(a)) with respect to the delivery, sale, and offer for sale of controlled substances, and has made all required notifications and declarations to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, or the DEA, and state pharmaceutical boards. This online pharmacy is obligated to comply fully with the Controlled Substances Act and DEA regulations. In addition, this online pharmacy will only dispense a controlled substance to a person who has a valid prescription issued for a legitimate medical purpose based upon a medical relationship with a prescribing practitioner. This includes at least one prior in-person medical evaluation in accordance with section 309 of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 829), or a medical evaluation via telemedicine in accordance with section 102 (54) of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 802 (54)).
