YAZ is a progesterone and estrogen combination contraceptive pill used to prevent pregnancy. YAZ may also be used to treat premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) or certain forms of acne in women who also want to use an oral form of hormonal birth control. YAZ may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
