Inspra is a mineralocorticoid receptor blocker used alone or with other medicines to treat high blood pressure. Inspra blocks the action of a substance in your body called aldosterone, which may help to lower blood pressure. Controlling high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Inspra is also used to improve survival in patients who have stabilized but experience congestive heart failure after a heart attack. Inspra may be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
