Chemical Name: FINASTERIDE (fi-NAS-teer-ide)

Common uses
Propecia 1mg is an androgen hormone inhibitor used to treat male pattern hair loss IN MEN ONLY.

Before using
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with Propecia 1mg. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, or pregnancy. USE OF PROPECIA 1mg IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you are female. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about using Propecia 1mg.

Directions
Follow the directions for using Propecia 1mg provided by your doctor. PROPECIA 1mg COMES WITH A PATIENT INFORMATION LEAFLET. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about Propecia 1mg. Propecia 1mg may be taken on an empty stomach or with food. STORE PROPECIA 1mg at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) in a tightly-closed container, away from moisture. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF PROPECIA 1mg and you remember the same day, take it as soon as possible. If you do not remember until the next day, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Cautions
IT MAY TAKE SEVERAL MONTHS for Propecia 1mg to work. Do not stop taking Propecia 1mg without checking with your doctor. Stopping Propecia 1mg will result in a return within 12 months to the same amount of baldness as when you started. KEEP ALL DOCTOR AND LABORATORY APPOINTMENTS while you are taking Propecia 1mg. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. ANY WOMAN WHO IS PREGNANT OR WHO MAY BECOME PREGNANT SHOULD NOT HANDLE crushed or broken tablets of Propecia 1mg. If a woman who is pregnant comes in contact with crushed or broken tablets of Propecia 1mg, contact your doctor as soon as possible.

Possible side effects
A SIDE EFFECT that may occur while taking Propecia 1mg is a change in sexual function. If it continues or is bothersome, check with your doctor. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience the following side effects or symptoms of toxicity: skin rash or swelling of lips. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. This is not a complete list of all side effects that may occur. If you have questions about side effects, contact your healthcare provider. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088.

If you take too much
