Indications
Imodium A-D controls the symptoms of diarrhea, including Travelers' Diarrhea.

Warnings

Do not use if diarrhea is accompanied by high fever (greater than 101 degrees F), or if blood or mucus is present in the the stool, or if you have had a rash or other allergic reaction to Loperamide HCl. Fantastic product. It works very fast and extremely well. The directions say to take 2 when you first get sick, and then 1 at a time after that, but I almost never have to take any more after the first 2 pills. I always have some in the house, and I carry a couple in my purse just in case. Forget Pepto Bismol - this is much, much better.

No one ever wants to have to take them, but believe me - you'll be happy to have these little pills on hand should the need arise. They are fast acting and small enough that most anyone can swallow them with little effort.

I tried these caplets for the first time recently and I was shocked at how QUICKLY this product works. When the occasional bout of gas/diarrhea strikes, Imodium AD is good to have on hand because relief is practically immediate. I have used Pepto Bismol in the past (but wasn't too fond of the taste), but will now keep these caplets on hand. Product works.

Drink plenty of clear fluids to help prevent dehydration, which may accompany diarrhea.

Adults and children 12 years of age and older: Take 2 caplets after the first loose bowel movement and 1 caplet after each subsequent loose bowel movement but no more than 4 caplets a day for no more than 2 days.

Children 9-11 years (60-95 lbs): Take 1 caplet after the first loose bowel movement and1/2 caplet after each subsequent loose bowel movement but no more than 3 caplets a day for no more than 2 days.

Children 6-8 years (48-59 lbs): Take 1 caplet after the first loose bowel movement and 1/2 caplet after each subsequent loose bowel movement but no more than 2 caplets a day for no more than 2 days.

Children under 6 years old (up to 47 lbs): Consult a physician. Not intended for use in children under 6 years old.
