Wow terrible..... by Katelyn in Topeka Kansas on 6/29/08 Cons: Clumps, Fades, Smudges Bottom Line: not recommended I bought this mascara one day because Vanessa Hudgens said she wore it and it looked good in the magazine. Its the worst mascara ive ever used, it clumps and flakes, giving me racoon eyes everytime. I know its cheap, so I should of expected this. Its Mascara like this that proves it better to splurge.

I've tried it recently and also a couple years ago and it just doesn't do anything for me. The wand isn't great, it doesn't really add volume to lashes, and it isn't really clump free. It's just basic boring mascara that doesn't do anything special. There are much better products out there!

I'd tried Great Lash ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/18/08 I'd tried Great Lash years and years ago. It made my eyelids break out in a rash with the first use. Somehow I managed to forget this incident and bought a tube on sale last week. Guess what? Yep. Red, swollen and itchy eyelids. I've used a zillion other brands of mascara over the past 30 years and have never had this happen, except with Great Lash. Believe me, I'll remember next time I reach for that "bargain".

I love this mascara... ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/9/08 I love this mascara... not sure if it's because of the adorable bright colored tubes, or because of nostalgic reasons (I grew up wearing this mascara). Whatever it is, it's the only mascara I use (and I have bought a million different brands), it won't give you a false-eyelash look, but it does thicken and darken the lashes, which is all I need. I hope Maybelline never stops making this, or changes the lovely bright colored packaging

If you want the VERY natural look go without or buy this for the fun of application. I switched to Rimmel eye magnifier and love it!

For most of us, several coats mean too much time spent & clumps. I LOVED this mascara many years ago while in high school and college, but they have apparently changed the formula. I don't wear makeup every day, but fairly often and it irritated my eyes as well.

Less than two days ago I put on the mascara and noticed my eye lashes were a bit more black... until last night my eyes started to itch mildly and this morning I woke up to having a rash on each eye. It is not hypoallergenic and word of advice, cheap is what youre going to get.

My friend recommended ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 11/16/07 My friend recommended Great Lash to me because her mom is in makeup and said it is the best. I purchased the waterproof and I hate it! If I apply 2-3 coats within the same length of time, my lashes would be dry and brittle. I wear hard contact lenses and I would get flakes in my eyes throughout the day. I tried applying a coat, let it dry, and then apply another coat. That made it worse! My lashes would be thick n clump together and it would be 2 hard to separate my lashes with a comb and when I do, I get flakes. I should've known not 2 buy it because I always see older women wearing it and it seem like they put 10 coats on and their lashes are all thick and stuck together. I gave this product a good week, forget it!

I bought this mascara mostly because of the positive reviews I've read, and because of the low price. It takes me a long time to apply it, and it doesn't really volumize or lengthen my lashes. Just makes them darker and clumps them together. Also, when I wash it off, my eyes really hurt, and I literally "cry". I think Maybelline's mascaras are the best I've ever used, but I'm not satisfied with this one. I'm going to give another one a try.

I too have tried it a few times over the years, thinking that maybe I didn't use it right the last time, since it seemed to be so popular with everyone else. I'd read about its greatness in magazines. It is likely that the magazines were paid to write such rave reviews, because it is not good mascara. It clumps like crazy and looks cheap. I agree with the reviewer who said Maybelline Full n' Soft is really good. Try that one instead if you do not want to spend a lot but still want a good product.

Every time a new list comes out, I try it again to see if I maybe just got a bad bottle the previous time. Nope... it just doesn't work for me. Clumps, smudges, and doesn't hold the curl in my lash.
