Indications

For the temporary relief of nasal congestion due to the common cold, hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies, and nasal congestion associated with sinusitis. Helps decongest sinus openings and passages; temporarily relieves sinus congestion and pressure. Temporarily restores freer breathing through the nose.

Directions

To be given every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. Adults and children 12 years of age and over: 2 tablets. Children 6 to under 12 years of age: 1 tablet. Children 2 to 6 years of age: use Children's Sudafed Liquid. Children under 2 years of age: Consult a doctor.

Drug Interaction Precautions

Do not use this product if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult a health professional before taking this product.

Warnings

Do not exceed recommended dosage. If nervousness, dizziness, or sleeplessness occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or are accompanied by fever consult a doctor. Do not take this product if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, or difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland unless directed by a doctor. As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.

I've taken so many things and it's ALWAYS ONLY been "the little red pills" that will clear up my nasal congestion (without over-drying me) and make me feel normal again. NOTHING ELSE WILL... and I've tried it all! Plus, I often don't need all of the other ingredients other makers put in (such as pain reliever, cough suppressant, etc.)! Not only is it hard to find something WITHOUT a pain reliever, it's hard to find something WITH pseudoephedrine! I pray they NEVER take this off the shelves (unless, of course, they find out how to cure (and/or prevent) with colds 100% effectiveness)

Also, when my asthma is very severe, it clears my lungs better than my asthma inhalers. I don't mind showing my ID to get this medication, but I hope it's never taken off the market since nothing else works so well for me. Even my son says this works well for him. He tried the "PE" type of decongestant that you can just buy off the shelf, and he said it didn't work at all.

I can't believe there are ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 12/9/07 I can't believe there are no reviews for such a popular product. This is still my first choice when I come down with nasty sinus problems. It even cleared up a painful ear ache I had during my most recent episode. The only problem is the dry mouth that follows. You'll have to increase your water intake with this one.
