I used to wake up with my eyes irritated and "caked" due to dryness. Since I have been using this product nightly problem has significantly improved. Cannot be used while wearing contacts. Temporarily clouds vision so best used before going to sleep.

I tried Akwa Tears, and had to toss. I have chronic "dry eyes" (Sjogren's), and apply ointment at bedtime.. This product contains "lanolin" (read the fine print). If your eyes are red and/or feel irriated after using Akwa Tears, it's because of the lanolin. Best to avoid, period! There are so many others available, I use/recommend "Tears Renewed Ophthalmic Ointment" as an economical choice).

I use this product for my dog who was born without an eye. I use a small ribbon in the opening twice a day. It keeps the area lubricated and free from infection. I just am so happy that I was able to find Akwa on line.

Used at night, works great with sleep mask. Does not dry out overnight at all.

This is the best eye ointment available for dry eye syndrome, perfect price too. I use it twice a day and never have to resort to eye drops in between times.

I used to stick to expensive brands such as Refresh, which is the most expensive, then to Bausch & Lomb. Then I tried the Akwa Tears when I was ordering other products from drugstore.com and found it to be equally good and much less expensive. There are brands, which caused irritations to my eyes, but Akwa is non-irritating. A 3.5-gram tube lasted for 2 months that is not bad.
