Indications

for skin irritation: temporarily protects minor cuts, scrapes, burns and sunburn helps prevent and temporarily protects chafed, chapped, cracked, or windburned skin and lips for diaper rash: helps treat and prevent diaper rash protects chafed skin or minor skin irritation due to diaper rash and helps seal out wetness

Directions

For skin irritation use:  apply liberally as often as necessary. For diaper rash use: change wet and soiled diapers promptly cleanse the diaper area, and allow to dry apply ointment liberally as often as necessary, with each diaper change, especially at bedtime or anytime when exposure to wet diapers may be prolonged Store between 15° and 30° C (59° and 86° F).

Because of a medical ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 1/29/08 Because of a medical condition my skin tears and blisters very easily - I use this 'down there' to help protect the skin. The smell is pleasant (and faint) and the product surpasses anything I've tried for keeping my skin safe. It protects from liquids (water, sweat, urine) and (most importantly for me) friction (from clothing, such as underwear and/or pants) without drying the skin out or irritating it. It's also great on diaper rash/sweat rashes (in any age!) and rough, dry elbows/knees/etc.

I started reading about other uses and tried it on dry patches on his face. They cleared up right away. I became ambitious and used it on my dog's wound. It healed quickly. We now use it for cuts, dryness, abrasions, rashes... for the whole family!

It has so many uses that I always recommend it to all my friends and family! I use it for cuts, rashes, razor bumps, dry skin, baby uses, sores, everything!! The one thing I love this product for is that I use it on my lips, it doesnt taste good, but I no longer have dry chapped lips since I started using this product! Best time to use it is right before you go to sleep. I wish they would invent a "chapstick form"!

We've tried several ... by Chelsey B in Wasilla, AK on 9/14/05 We've tried several products: Aquaphor -- redness and irritation developed into a full-blown diaper rash while using it, 40% zinc oxide ointment -- cured diaper rash in 24 hours, but too difficult to apply and remove for daily use, A+D Zinc Oxide Cream -- seems to prevent diaper rash, but does not eliminate all redness and irritation. And now, we've tried A+D Original Ointment. It performed no better than the Aquaphor -- did not prevent redness, and the redness spreads while using it. Still searching for the perfect ointment to prevent diaper rash and eliminate all redness and irritation.

We started using A&D 12 ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 8/26/05 We started using A&D 12 years ago when our first grandchild was born. Now we have 7 and they have all been A&D'd! There is nothing else like it - it prevents diaper rash better than anything else, easily washes off and smells so good. The older kids use it for chapped faces, lips, hands. I use it to prevent blisters on my feet from new sandals and I also coat my feet with it before putting socks and tennis shoes on for working out. It's great for putting on little ones skinned knees before getting in the bath (then, it can be washed off without the usual sting). Nursing mothers will find it helpful, too.

I always favored Desitin ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 2/23/05 I always favored Desitin for diaper rash, and never tried this until recently. This is so good. It's also versatile. I use it on my baby's face when it gets chapped, and it seems to clear it up in an hour. I always thought of it as just diaper rash, but you can use it for many different things, and it works great.
