Indications

First aid to help prevent bacterial contamination in minor cuts and scrapes.

Directions

Clean affected area.  Apply a small amount on the area 1-3 times daily.  Let dry. A second coating may be applied for extra protection.  To remove, apply more New-Skin and quickly wipe off.  Fingernail polish remover may dissolve New-Skin. Store at room temperature away from heat.  May temporarily sting upon application.  Do not allow to come in contact with floors, countertops or other finished surfaces-will stain.

Do not use in the eyes, over large areas of the body, longer than one week unless directed by a doctor, on infected areas or wounds that are draining, with other first aid products such as lotions and creams, over sutures, or on mucous materials. Ask a doctor before use if you have deep puncture wounds, deep cuts, animal bites, serious bleeding, diabetes, poor circulation, or serious burns. When using this product do not store at temperatures above 120F°, intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling the contents can be harmful or fatal. Stop use and ask a doctor if condition persists or gets worse or if infection occurs. Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children.  If swallowed, get medical help or contact a poison control center right away.

Warning: this product ... by Matt in Undisclosed on 11/12/07 Warning: this product contains an evil odor!!! With all this new technology can't they make a product that doesn't stink your whole house up? For a few little cuts it's not worth the torture of having a palm bomb of that magnitude. The smell woke me up out of a dead sleep every time I put my hand near my face. Just buy a tube of super glue with the brush, it's less money and doesn't smell as bad! Now two days later my cuts hurt worse and I can't get rid of that haunting horrible odor!!!

I gave myself a nasty ... by rob in Undisclosed on 3/18/07 I gave myself a nasty scrape on my temple with my thumbnail during jiu jitsu class. I poured some alcohol on it after class and put antibiotic ointment on it thereafter, but it was starting to look red and puffy. I was going to put a band-aid on it, but didn't want to look silly, so I got this New Skin stuff. It has a built in antiseptic. You just spray it on the cut/scrape and in a minute it forms an air permeable second skin over the wound. It's sort of like dried Elmer's glue, only thinner, stronger, and more resistant to rubbing off. As soon as I sprayed it, it felt better and the red puffiness quickly subsided. I'm really impressed and think it would be great for the minor cuts, scrapes, rug burns, and blisters that you get doing grappling. It is really quite durable too, so it is almost like an instant callous. Highly recommend it!

It is great for paper cuts or other fine cuts on the hands. This container has more doses than the other q-tip applicator types, and is around the same price.

A medicine cabinet ... by Kathy in Quincy, MA on 1/23/07 A medicine cabinet must-have. Wintertime dry air causes me to get many small splits on the tips of my fingers. It makes typing impossible, and it looks as if I used sandpaper to teach myself Braille. One quick aplication of New-Skin, and it is as if the splits had never been there.

This stuff works great on ... by Benjamin in Scottsdale, AZ on 11/4/06 This stuff works great on small cuts and abrasions.I had some oozing abrasions from scratching athletes foot incessantly..I put new skin on and it healed up in a few days. Even stayed on in the shower. To briefly explain how this stuff works, it's basicly an antiseptic combined with a nitrocellulose compound in an alcohol base. After you apply it and let it dry, the solvent carrier evaporates, leaving behind an invisible shield that seals out dirt and germs better than a band-aid. The antiseptic used is 8-hydroxyquinoline, the same stuff found in Bag Balm, it's very effective. Yes,it stings a little at first, but it drys quickly. To remove the film from the wound, apply more new skin, then wipe quickly or use 91% isopropyl or denatured alcohol. This stuff is great for a wart on the finger or hand.

This product is ... by George in Painesville, OH on 9/29/06 This product is fantastic!!! I can attest to the wart-removing abilities. I had numerous plantar warts on my foot, and a difficult wart next to a nail on my finger. I suffered with these warts for at least 3 years. Nothing worked, including nitrogen cryotherapy. I brushed this stuff on for two weeks, and voila! They were ALL GONE!! I don't know how it works, but it does. Try it if you don't believe me.

PAINFUL BLISTERS BE GONE! ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 8/18/06 PAINFUL BLISTERS BE GONE! I used New Skin on an open blister during a backpacking trip I went on with my father this summer, New Skin saved the trip, and allowed me to walk on my foot as if there were no blister. Great product!!

My finger tips become ... by Brent in Germantown, WI on 4/21/06 My finger tips become painfully chapped and bleed every winter. I've tried every kind of lotion know to mankind soften the skin and relieve the pain, but nothing has worked until I tried Newskin. Sometimes it does sting a little bit when first applied; but when compared to the pain and bleeding before using Newskin, it's a small price to pay. My cracked skin heals faster and has less pain with the dried Newskin on it. The only draw backs are the nail polish smell and the pain caused if used on a larger wound.

This product is amazing. ... by Jeff in Undisclosed on 8/13/04 This product is amazing. I have had a very painful wart on the end of my thumb for about 2 1/2 years. I have seen every Dermatologist in town and have tried every cure known to them with no results whatsoever. I even tried the duct tape treatment and nothing worked. I had a bottle of New Skin sitting in my medicine cabinet so I thought what the heck, I will give it a try. Three weeks later I am wart free!!! I don't know how it worked, but it sure did. I wanted to share this because I am very pleased to be rid of this painful, ugly wart and it is all because of this amazing product!

I just began using ... by Alex in Bayonne, NJ on 6/18/04 I just began using New-Skin, as its early summer and my feet arent used to strappy shoes!!! It CERTAINLY works to prevent blisters in the prone areas, and it certainly protects un-open blisters to the point where you dont know theyre even there! But today I applied it to an open blister - and the pain was EXCRUCIATING PAIN!!!! Have to deal with the pain, or use a true bandage for fresh blisters!!!

Don't buy this product. I ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 5/16/04 Don't buy this product. I used it on chapped and bleeding fingers, and it only made things worse. It peels off and takes your skin with it, and it's difficult to tell the difference between the peeling plastic and dry skin. I used it on a normal cut to see if I was just using it wrong. With small cuts, it does nothing at all. It just peels off. Also, the directions say to remove it by using more liquid and rubbing (self-soluble). This does not work. I'm about to go the hardware store and buy some paint thinner. What a painful waste of money.

I have used this product ... by Sam in Lewisberry, PA on 3/28/04 I have used this product for years. It works much better for cracks on fingers and feet during winter than a 'band aid'. It does sting and has an unpleasant odor, though. Also good for minor scratches and cuts anywhere you don't want to put a bandage.

This product is like ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 11/14/03 This product is like smearing on nail polish. It stings the wound and peals off too easily. If you have a very minor scratch then it might be ok, but for anything that might remotely reopen or drain at all it doesn't work.
