Directions

Carpets: Pre-spray stain, wait, rub stain along grain of nap with damp towel, repeat with clear water spray, pat dry with dry towel. Laundry: Pre-spray stains, agitate, repeat as needed. Bathtub Ring, Mildew Stain, Driveways, Aluminum Siding, Gutters, Deck Furniture, Automobile Engines, Brake Dust & Tires: Full-strength, wait, scrub, rinse. Auto Finish, Woodwork, and Tile Floors: Dilute 1/2 cup in 2 gallon bucket, wash with soft brush, rinse. Parts Washers: Mix three parts water and one part soap. Hand Cleaning: Spray on wet hands, work up later, rinse.

Warnings

Caution: Eye Irritant. Keep away from children. First Aid Instructions: Eye Contact: Rinse 15 minutes with potable water If Swallowed: Drink water to dilute; do not induce vomiting For all above, irritation persists, get medical attention.

I love this as a cleaning ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 3/27/08 I love this as a cleaning product around the house. It got out some old stains that nothing would touch. However, I found it totally ineffective as a laundry pre-treater. It seemed to leave a chemical residue/smell and did not get the stains out of our clothing. I now use Charlie's liquid laundry soap as a pre-treater and it works great.

My carpet was a disaster (we had two dogs pass away within a few months and towards the end neither could make it outside to potty or vomit). I had previously tried using a carpet cleaner with that brands cleaning solution and it did nothing, but with the CS all purpose cleaner my light colored carpet looks almost brand new. I couldn't be happier!

I wanted a natural stain remover and bought this based on all the great reviews, but I am so disappointed. I've been using it to remove stains on my laundry, but it just hasn't worked. Sorry, but Charlie is just no match for my 4 kids.

The sprayer that was sent ... by Sarah in St. Peters, MO on 11/22/07 The sprayer that was sent with my order did not even fit the bottle! Other than that, I've only used Charlie's on carpeting so far, but it did a good job of stain removal. The one thing I do want to mention is that you need to make sure you THOROUGHLY REMOVE ALL OF THE SOAP. If you do not, your carpet (or whatever you use it on) will end up looking worse than when you started. I had to go over the spots I treated a few times with plain water to make sure I got all the soap out. It took me a little bit longer than usual, but the carpet on my stairs did come out looking brand new. I'd love to try this out on some heavier duty stains to see how it measures up (and I have a 1-year-old so I'm sure I'll get the chance!). I'd wish I could use it as an all-purpose cleaner but you can't just spray and wipe, you have to rinse, and I'm too busy and too lazy to be bothered with that!

I tried the other natural products and used to use Citra based spray on stains, but nothing works as great as this stuff. Used it on our carpet that had multiple stains on it before we used the steam cleaner, worked great! Stains did not resurface after a couple of weeks like they sometimes do when you steam clean. Works great on clothes too my husband is in the military and comes home with all kinds of stains on his uniform, it got red dye out if his cuffs when soap alone wouldn't work! Even though this stuff isn't cheap it's great!

Charlie's took ... by Rebecca in San Diego, CA on 3/19/07 Charlie's took mold/mildew stains out of white wool without causing any damage to the fabric. It is expensive for a cleaner, but it saved so many stained items that it's well worth the price. My sprayer works fine, though it was a different colored one than the pic, maybe they've changed.

The soap is good, but the ... by Kelly in Herndon, VA on 2/23/07 The soap is good, but the pump is not... It worked great on clothes, carpet, and all over the bathroom. Problem is, the pump is not efficient-- it is difficult to get the soap in the right place, especially for stains on clothing and carpet. It tends to suds up before making it out of the pump, resulting in a small mess of soap on hands and other places where it was not intended to go... Good thing it's a safe product for skin and fabric, right? A small 'inconvenience' I suppose for such a safe and versatile product. For the price though, the pump action should be no less than perfect!

Great stuff, used it on ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 2/21/07 Great stuff, used it on my carpet after I spilled nail polish and nail polish remover would not remove it. Soaked area in this and scrubbed it immediately. No more nail polish stain. Also great on cat vomit stains on carpet. Be careful with using this product on dark colors, as it will remove pigmentation. Always do a test first.

I love this stuff. The ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 9/19/06 I love this stuff. The laundry soap is great, too, it's not just for lingerie as the box might imply. I got OLD OLD OLD stains out of my cream carpet with very little effort AND you can even put it in a rented steam cleaner and it's NON-TOXIC, perfect for people with kids and pets. Wonderful stuff, I clean my whole house with it.

So, I buy this soap ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 8/27/06 So, I buy this soap because it's environmentally friendly, all purpose, etc...On the bottle (which you should read carefully, it's rather funny) it says that among other things this soap will remove tar. 'How is this possible,' I think, 'A soap that's completely biodegradable can do things that other more toxic ones can't?' And so I laughed, and shared the silly notion with my family. Then, of course, the very same day, my younger brother gets tar on his socks. So, of course, although we had no faith, we tried it. And it worked! Not completely, because, it's tar, I mean come on. But not sticky and went from totally black to very, very light brown. Highly amazing. Though I hope that you won't have any need to remove tar, if you do, this is your stuff.

I cannot say enough good ... by Karen J in High Point, NC on 7/10/06 I cannot say enough good things about Charlie's Soap...I LOVE this stuff! Having a 5 year old, it is tough to find something that will get crayons, markers, pen, etc. out of carpets, fabrics, wood tables, etc. I have got to say, since I've had Charlie's Soap, I haven't met a stain I couldn't get out! This stuff gets the ink stain left by the Mr. Bubble bubble bath bottle on the side of the tub out...stains on toilet seats...stains on clothes...crayon and ink stains on my microfiber sofa...you name it and this stuff can handle it without damaging anything. It's great!

I love Charlie's Soap. I ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 7/3/06 I love Charlie's Soap. I mean, LOVE. I am not a huge fan of cleaning, but now that we have a baby, it's an absolute necessity. This soap cuts through the grimiest of the grimy, the thickest of dirt. I use it on the kitchen floor, the dining room table, the shower, the litter box, the kitchen sink...you name it. It seriously cleans it. It even got tree sap off of my hardwood floor that had been there for almost a year (cat hair and dirt stuck to it...)And I don't worry at all about my cats or my baby!

I have used this before ... by Katie in Plattsmouth, NE on 3/26/06 I have used this before on my carpet and it has worked wonders! It gets out ground in dirt stains on my stairs from my dogs and it completely removed a big fat blueberry stain on my carpet that my son made. This stuff is great!
