Well, this product makes the task of monitoring your blood pressure almost too easy! The color-coding on the upper arm cuff guides you to the proper placement for accurate readings. At the push of a single button, the cuff inflates and deflates automatically, and a digital read-out displays your heart rate and blood pressure reading. If you have ever tried to take your own blood pressure, you will understand the benefits of this easy-to-use automatic monitor.

Simply slip your arm through the cuff and press the "on" button. When the machine signals, you press the inflate button. Thats it; just two buttons! It inflates, deflates, and then tells you your blood pressure. Since it is so quick and easy to use, it might be a good idea to take multiple readings and calculate the average. High blood pressure is called the silent killer, so everyone should know his or hers. I highly recommend the Omron Smart Inflate Blood Pressure Monitor.

I am under a doctor's care for hypertension, and I have to eliminate salt from my diet, as well as take medications. I found the Omron Smart Inflate Blood Pressure monitor to be quite accurate. It was convenient to have the monitor at home. I liked being able to use it to know when I need to cut back further on salt, or when I was okay to "cheat" a little. I would recommend this monitor to anyone who watches their blood pressure.

It was very hard to use -- and impossible to do so alone. I like that I can use this without having to have any assistance. The monitor was also very easy to read and the instructions were easy to follow.

You put the arm cuff on, hit start, and it does everything for you. It comes with a booklet that gives you instructions on how to use the monitor and also information about blood pressure and what the final numbers mean. I would definitely recommend this to anyone because it's so easy to use, and very important, too.

Great product! I didn't ... by tashina k in San Diego, CA on 12/11/99 Great product! I didn't even need the instruction booklet. There is a monitor, a cuff, and a power adapter. Plug the adapter in one side, the cuff in the other, put the cuff on, and press start. That's it. Just 30 seconds later you have an accurate blood pressure and pulse reading. This is great for people who value simplicity and ease of use. It would be almost impossible to use this machine incorrectly.

The actual test is quick and the results show blood pressure and pulse. This would be very handy to keep a day-to-day record of BP. I found it a little difficult to position the cuff around my upper arm with only one hand available, but otherwise it was extremely easy to use and I highly recommend it.

I have never owned an ... by Sara in Las Vegas, NV on 12/6/99 I have never owned an automatic blood pressure monitor before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. In all, I'm pretty impressed with the Omron HEM-711. My husband has high blood pressure, so this comes in handy for monitoring him at home. All you have to do is put the cuff on and hit start. It's simple! The one downfall I found was that it took a little longer to get the diastolic than it would if you did it manually. Despite the downfall, I would recommend this product to anyone. It runs on batteries, although it does have a port for an adapter, so it's easy to take with you anywhere. The entire monitor is compact enough to fit into any purse or overnight bag.

I am a nursing student, ... by Erica M in Houston, TX on 12/6/99 I am a nursing student, and I really gave this product a workout. I used it to test my skills at taking blood pressure manually. This product was easy to use and seemed very accurate. I had lots of fun using this, and I have now convinced my husband he does NOT have high blood pressure. He insisted I was doing something wrong when I kept getting a normal manual reading, but the Omron confirmed my findings to the exact numbers. For a nursing student it is a must have!
