My husband had an itchy scalp, but after using this shampoo only once, the itch disappeared. He loves it. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a pleasant fragrance. The smell doesn't bother my husband, though, and it does work. That's what counts.

Unfortunately, I have a genetic tendency towards thick, oily dandruff (no matter how often I wash my hair), and can use nothing but dandruff shampoos like this one. I also develop a red, scaly rash behind my ears and along my hairline when this problem acts up. This, along with Neutrogena Daily Control Shampoo, are my must-have shampoos. I cannot live without them. If I stop using this, I immediately begin having problems again with my scalp. This helps seriously with the itching and eliminates that horrible feeling like you're wearing a too-tight wig on your head.

My son has really bad dandruff, this stuff really works. Head & Shoulders worked for a little bit, but than stopped AND made his head smell REALLY, REALLY bad.

Clears the scalp well. I need to use a clarifiying shampoo as my hair gets buildup. I have long hair--I use SB on my scalp only and my gentle shampoo from the neck, down. Leave the lather on for 10 mins. so it can cut through the dandruff. I shampoo twice. Gives my hair body. Shake well before using and rinse with warm water VERY, VERY thoroughly!!!!

This product worked well for the 1st couple of weeks I used it.After that it went down hill!It caused an allergic reaction to my scalp, it had a horrible medicated smell and it caused my hair to break off.Now I still have the same issues I had before and I'm trying to repair my hair from the breakage.I would not recommend this product for some one who has a sensitive scalp.What a waste!

Suddenly I developed a scalp odor starting last year March; Ive used nizarol 2%, head & shoulders, clarifying, zincon, sulfur 8... I went to several dermatologists who told me there was no smell and it was probably all in my head, and to be honest I started to believe the same thing. However, I never gave up, because I know the smell was something I was not used to. I read a blog online and someone suggested using Selsun Blue for all kinds of scalp issues. I gave it a try and I have found just what I need although, I have only been using it for 2 days now I know it works, because with EVERY shampoo Ive used the smell would return after the 2nd morning. I am so happy to have found something that works for me. I hope that if anyone is going through something like this they try the Selsun Blue shampoo and I hope it gives them their life back because that's what it has done for me. God Bless.

Worked great as a shower gel for my dad's yeasty legs. He's diabetic and as a result has poor circulation/immunity in the lower extremities. He complained of dry itchy skin around his ankles which we both thought was just a winter itch, until I drove down to take a look at them and discovered the fungus among us. Took 2 weeks to improve, but he's been using it ever since as a preventative measure and no more yeast! Now if I can only get him to start a walking routine for better circulation.
