Indications

Helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and tin bronchial secretions to rid the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus and make coughs more productive, temporarily relieves nasal congestion due to: common cold, hay fever, upper respiratory allergies, temporarily restores freer breathing through the nose, and promotes nasal and/ or sinus drainage

Directions

Do not crush, chew or break tablet, take with a full glass of water, this product can be administered without regard for  timing of meals Adults and children 12 years and older:  two tablets every 12 hours; not more than 4 tablets in 24 hours Children under 12 years of age: do not use Tamper evident: do not use if printed seal on blister is broken or missing.  Store at 20-25°C (68-77°F)  See bottom of carton for lot code and expiration date

Do not use if you are taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAO) (Certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping MAOI drug. If you do not know if you prescription drug contains a MAOI, ask a doctor of pharmacist before taking this product. Ask a doctor before use if you have  heart disease, thyroid disease, high blood pressure,  diabetes, trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema, or Cough accompanied by too much phlegm (mucus) When using this product do not use more than directed Stop use and ask a doctor if you get nervous, dizzy or sleepless or symptoms do not get better within 7 days, come back or occur with a fever, rash, or persistent headache. These could be signs of a serious illness. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

This stuff is great. It ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/26/07 This stuff is great. It works wonders on my sinus congestion. I only take 1 pill at a time, though, because when I take 2 I get horribly jittery and feel kinda nauseous. So just be aware of that if you tend to be sensitive to side-effects...this stuff is powerful!

I was taking different otc medicines looking for relief. I finally decided to get this Mucinex D, and after my first dose (one tablet) I felt relief within 6 hours. It works.

I had what proved to be ... by Danielle in Far Rockaway, NY on 1/12/07 I had what proved to be one of the worst colds/sinus infections in recent memory, and used this stuff per mom's recommendation. After years of taking products that merely lessened symptoms, I was reluctant to try anything new, especially so expensive. Mucinex not only alleviated my symptoms, it actually helped me get over my cold faster than my normal 7-10 days (it took about 2 days to start feeling noticeable relief, 4 days before I was good as new). Not to be gross, but it brings up all that nasty stuff in your chest, and helps your sinuses to drain out to relieve any pain/pressure. I highly recommend this formula if you're like me, and get the combination sinusitis/bronchitis during the winter months. It really will put you on the fast track to recovery.
