Great product...have suffered from painful mouth ulcers for most of my life. Had an unusually high number of them at one time recently and was in misery. Purchased this product and aside from trying to keep the area dry during application, they worked great. The sores were gone the next morning. My only caution is that you definitely need someone to assist you during application (or have a third arm)!

I had a canker sore between my lower lip and teeth, and it was driving me crazy. Using these made an unpleasant situation worse--first, they take quite a long time (at least 10-12 hours) to fully dissolve, so the morning after I tried my first one, I tried to remove it to go to work (my lower lip was jutting out and you could see the patch). It pulled off skin with it, which only compounded the problem. A few nights later, I tried again. I didn't try to remove it this time, instead letting it dissolve, which was a thoroughly revolting and long process. And it stained one of my lower teeth, so now I have a round yellow stain where the patch overlapped with my teeth. I hate this product.

All those other numbing products suck. This one covers the canker soar so you don't feel any rubbing pains with other products that only give you 30 minutes of relief. It is expensive, but it works! It also makes them go down MUCH faster , in part since you don't irritate it when it is uncovered. Sometimes hard to eat, but you will figure it out. I wish they sold them in 20 packs.

I suffer from sever cankers, when i get them I really get them. I tried this product for the first time and it is AWFUL. The burning sensation is horrible. I wanted something to numb the pain for at least an hour of relief and it is causing me more pain than without the product. You cannot remove it when you do put it on, i am trying to get it off using warm water... wish me luck!!

It's funny how the reviews for Canker Cover are either extremely glowing or very negative. This is a very good product, but you have to be clear on what it is and how it works. As others have posted, the Canker Cover sticks onto the sore and gradually turns to a gel-like goo to cover it. Not to be gross, but this is probably slower for some people than others depending on the quantity and PH Balance of their saliva. You should figure that it could take up to an hour and that the patch could last as long as 10 hours or so to completely dissolve in some cases. As it's fairly obtrusive and makes it hard to talk, I strongly recommend only using this at night when you have at least 8 hours before having to speak in public. As far as effectiveness, I've definitely had less positive results than others who've posted. I find it often takes at least 3 nights of using Canker Covers to clear up the sore. In some cases, I've gone through the entire 6 Covers for one sore. However, it's definitley quicker and less painful than not using it. This is probably the best product I've tried for canker sores. For ones that you can use during the day, I'd recommend Canker-Rid or Orabase Soothe-n-Seal, both of which also cover the sore, but with a much thinner coating. Overall, a very good product, but only to be used at night or when you're going to be in the privacy of your own home for at least 8 hours.
