Directions

Take a nickel size amount of product, rub between palms to activate product then apply to slightly damp/dry hair and style.  Define individual areas with your fingers.  For longer or thicker hair, use slightly more product. For best results, use the Garnier Fructis System of shampoos and conditioners. Soft Curl Cream Style: "Big Sassy Curls": To activate product, rub between hands, then apply sparingly to slightly damp or dry hair, working from ends to root.  Twirl pieces of hair around fingers to mold into desired curl formation for soft supple curls without frizz or flyaways.  Use a diffuse or air dry. Finish any style with Garnier Fructis Style Hairspray for long-lasting hold.

I'm so glad drugstore.com still has it in stock, so I purchased six of them!! It's true that the cream is "thick", but I feel it's best if it's used on damp or wet hair and allowed to air dry or diffuse with a blow-dryer. The new Garnier Curl Cream doesn't even come close to this one. I hope they bring this product back!!

Yuck! This stuff is so ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/19/08 Yuck! This stuff is so sticky! It's like glue, which I understand is necessary for strong hold of curls. But this is definitely not for me. I tried it multiple times and just don't like it for my hair. My hair is wavy, thick and slightly dry so maybe this just isn't what I need. I prefer products that smooth and shine, like John Frieda's line.

I have tried some of your other styling creams, and multiple other products from other manufacturers, and nothing comes close to this. The Soft Curl Cream defines my curls, and holds them in place without being too stiff or sticky.

It does create soft curls, isnt stiff, and also smells good. But its really messy going on, hence the 3***

This product works really ... by checked in Undisclosed on 3/27/08 This product works really well. I tried this stuff on a whim and bought some other "curly hair products" from Garnier Fructis to go with this purchase. The other stuff got tossed, but I held on tight to the soft curl cream! I have very, very, kinky curly hair that can get really frizzy and it can be hard to keep the curls "under control". This cream did the job and did the job well. Another reviewer mentioned that it can be tricky to use the "right amount", and this is true so be careful and use sparingly until you figure out your "magic amount". I use this with mouse and sometimes gel... for maximum frizz control and depending on the look I'm going for... either way it works really well with other products/brands (I don't use any other Garnier hair products). I gave 4 stars due to the consistency, you can mess your 'do' up if you don't use the right amount, so be careful how much you use. I'm sure this was a user issue, not a product issue, so just be careful how much you use.

Why is it that every time that I find a product that I love for my naturally curly hair, the company discontinues? Thankfully, I was aimlessly searching the web for someone that might have a "stash" of it. Lo and behold I came across drugstore.com!!!

I have been using this ... by Lena in Peoria, IL on 3/6/08 I have been using this product for about 6 months now and it's one of the best I've found yet. I have naturally wavy, mid-back length Asian hair, but it is also thin and very fine and prone to terrible frizz -- all of this results in a hard time taming it and making it look decent. This cream really does a GREAT job at it although it's not perfect. I also had the problem at first with gunky/greasy feeling BUT found that this only occurs when I put on too much. Once I found the right amount for my hair, it worked like a dream! Also, you really *really* do have to rub it in your palms until it almost melts before applying - this prevents it sticking in clumps, etc. I think it only really works well on DAMP hair, too. When I apply it to dry hair, I get instant FRIZZ and tangles. But it does work GREAT for smoothing dry hair back in a pony or bun, for example. When used on damp hair and the right amount, I get wavy, shiny, soft lovely hair!

Eliminates frizz, encourages my curls to "play nice" with nearby curls, doesn't leave my hair sticky or greasy, doesn't leave an annoying smell. It can sometimes be tricky to use just the "right" amount. I love that my curls are soft, well-defined and touchable. It does a much better job than any of the products in beauty supply stores - at a fraction of the cost. I have often wished that it stayed visible a bit longer so I can see exactly where I have and have not applied it. Alas, Garnier has now discontinued "Soft Curl" is now selling "Curl Sculpting Cream-Gel" instead - and the new stuff is a real disappointment in that it feels greasy and smells bad. Maybe Garnier will reconsider if we all complain loudly enough?
