Best Smell Yet - And, Absorbent! by ShopperMsS in Los Angeles, CA on 8/31/08 Pros: Absorbs Quickly, Goes On Smoothly, Long Lasting, Moisturizes Well, Not Greasy, Softens Skin Best Uses: Bedtime Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented Bottom Line: recommended As stated, this is the best smelling self tanning product I have come across to date. Admittedly, chemistry may have something to do with it. Nevertheless, the after-odor is nonexistent for me. The color is a bit yellowish, especially for us alabaster types. However, I have experienced much, much worse orangey staining products; and certainly none better. Note that this IS a self tanning product. Not applying smoothly, evenly, and thoroughly will yield aesthetically unpleasing results. -- And, quickly WASH YOUR HANDS after application! Its fast absorption will facilitate the process. All in all, this product works the best of all of the many I have tried (including the pricey dept store brands), and smells the best!

Best self-tanner for fair skin! by Krissy in New York, NY on 7/13/08 Pros: Nice Odor, Nice color Best Uses: Arms, Body, Daily Use, Legs Bottom Line: recommended I am a red head with very fair skin. This is the only self-tanner of any kind that I have found gives me a nice natural color. I use it daily and after about a week have a golden tan. After just one use my skin looks more even toned. The other major benefit is the odor. I won't say it's nonexistent, but it is definitely much lighter than Jergens.

I always apply my lotion on right after my evening shower, and a couple of hours before I go to bed, hoping the smell will go away. I'm I willing to live with it? ABSOLUTELY! It's worth it. I use rubber gloves to avoid the discoloring of the hands, plus... it helps and makes for perfect application. No streaking, and no dark golden knees and elbows. I refuse to use any other product, and am very, very satisfied with LOreal. I've shared my experience with other girlfriends, and they too, have turned their nose up at their old product, and have begun using LOreal. Thank you for such a wonderful product, but maybe you can work on "THE SMELL!"

Well I am fair skinned ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 3/28/08 Well I am fair skinned and very sensitive to the sun, so I prefer sunless tanner! However I tried this one because someone told me about it. So I was excited that I could put it on before going to bed and waking up the next day dark! Well that did happen, but there was all this shimmer stuff, and when the shimmer rubbed off, I didnt look too tanned. Also I prefer putting it on before bed or after a nightly shower, and the next day when I take a shower, I notice most of it comes off. After using it a week, it seems to stay dark, but then I didnt use it for one day, and the day after, I took a shower it was all off!!! So this kind of sucks. I had better experience with Jergens!!! Also oil of Olay if you just need a little color!!!

This is by far the most ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 2/4/08 This is by far the most natural-looking self-tanner that I have ever used. I find I have the best results if I alternate the FAIR and MEDIUM skin tone bottles though. The smell isn't my favorite, but honestly, it isn't that bad. One warning though, if you plan to exercise, plan on it 'sweating' off a little bit, more noticeable on white clothing. I get the best results by doing the application before bedtime, then showering in the morning. Application is very easy; the cream is a whitish color, so you can easily see where you haven't applied it. It has a very light sparkle effect, but it's very slight and more noticeable in the sun. This is great stuff!

If you have a real fair skin, you may not care for the color very much since it appears a bit yellowish to me. Also I am not very crazy about this scent and my hands smelled bad for hours even after I had washed them.

Worked fine, but was so ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 8/3/07 Worked fine, but was so heavy and greasy. I ended up with breakouts on my back. The smell is also too heavy and sweet. It was really gross. I bet this would have worked great if I could stand to have it on my skin.

I hesitated to give this ... by Robin in Brooklyn, NY on 7/8/07 I hesitated to give this 5 stars because of the smell, but let's admit it, anything that self tans will NEVER smell great. Out of all the stuff I've tried, this one is the least chemically. I am white as a ghost and this gives me a nice, very light color when I use it for three or four days in a row. I like the subtle shimmer. You will not get the color you get from a straight-up self tanner, but I don't have the patience for those. They smell so bad, they streak and you have to wait for them to dry. This is the best I've found to not be completely glow-in-the-dark with my very low patience level.

This is the BEST sunless ... by Suzanne in Old Tappan, NJ on 7/2/07 This is the BEST sunless tanning daily lotion I have ever used. I agree with the other reviewers who said that this does NOT leave your skin orange like many others do. I have used Neutrogena and Jergens, and both left my very pale skin orange. This lotion also has a pleasant smell. My husband even told me that I smelled good! With the other lotions, I always put it on right before bed, so I could go right to sleep without having to smell it. I highly recommend this to all of you who don't want to look orange anymore and want something that actually smells nice. This is something I use almost everyday, and it's such a breeze to apply.

I love this product! I ... by Leslie in Roeland Park, KS on 6/28/07 I love this product! I have very fair skin and have tried other self-tanners that left my skin orange. I also had self-tanners (expensive ones from Estee Lauder, etc.) that did not blend well and made knees and elbows a dirty color. This product blends very well, makes me look "TAN, and has a nice smell to it as well. My husband actually thought I'd picked up a tan! It was nice to tell him it was "fake" out of a bottle!

Love this lotion! The ... by Meghan in Pasadena, TX on 6/14/07 Love this lotion! The smell is lovely, the color is believable, and the shimmer in it is just the right amount. A little shimmer never hurts, it actually makes your skin look so radiant! My only complaint is that I thought the tan would be a little darker, but maybe I just need to move up to the medium skin tone, who knows.

Unlike other sunless products, it produces your "tan" gradually, as you apply it once per day. I think this way you are not likely to miss the same spot every day, and your tan looks even. The color is great, not orange looking at all.

This will not leave you with a fake orange streaky color like many other lotions. The smell is light and does not have the overpowering fake tanner smell that Jergens has. The only thing I don't like is that there are sparkles in the lotion. I could do without them but its not big enough of a problem to prevent me from buying this again!
