Indications

Uses: relieves occasional constipation (irregularity) and generally produces bowel movement in 12 to 72 hours.

Directions

Usual daily dose(doses may be taken as a single daily dose or in divided doses): Adults and children 12 years and older: take 1 to 3 capsules daily. Children 2 to under 12 years old: take 1 capsule. Children under 2 years: ask a doctor. Store from 25°C (77° F); excursions permitted between 15-30°C (59-86°F). Sodium content 5mg/capsule.  Very Low Sodium. Keep tightly closed.  Retain this carton for important information.

Do not use: laxative products for longer than a week unless told to do so by a doctor. if you are presently taking mineral oil, unless told to do so by a doctor. Ask a doctor before use if you have: stomach pain nausea vomiting noticed a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts over 2 weeks. Stop use and ask a doctor if you have rectal bleeding or fail to have a bowel movement after use of a laxative.  These could be signs of a serious condition. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep this and all medication out of the reach of children.  In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Do not use if imprinted seal under cap is missing or damaged.

Great stuff. I was ... by K in Richmond, KY on 2/8/08 Great stuff. I was prescribed the same ingredient after surgery and if you have had ANY abdominal surgery you will need this for a few weeks. I happened to end up needing it more but it is only noticed when I DON'T take it. Keeps everything smooth sailing. I get the generic brand, don't be silly and pay this much.

Yep- makes me nauseous on ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 12/18/07 Yep- makes me nauseous on an empty stomach, too. Can't imagine why this side effect isn't listed somewhere on the bottle, since so many people seem to experience the same problem with it. Having said that, it works. Took it during pregnancy, and it made me feel human again. Highly recommended. Would have given it 5 stars, but it is WAY too expensive.

THIS IS A MUST HAVE IN ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 6/14/06 THIS IS A MUST HAVE IN YOUR MEDICINE CABINET. A coworker told me about this product. I have always suffered from constipation. This is a wonderful product. It does not make you cramp like other products, but I do feel a bit nauseous when I take it on an empty stomach. Otherwise, it works great and is worth every penny.

I was forced to use Dulcolax for years and was growing more and more dependent on it as my body built up a tolerance to it. I have problems with constipation during PMS and it can get really bad. For the first time in a decade I feel like a normal person again and have successfully returned to eating a normal diet at any time of the month.

The reason I bought this ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 1/22/05 The reason I bought this was because the hospital told me to use it everyday until I had a bowel movement (I had just given birth). Well the first baby I had I didn't listen, and let me tell you I was in severe pain. The second time I gave birth I made sure I bought a bottle before I delivered. Made life and going to the bathroom (after having stitches) much more bearable. I cannot tell you what a godsend it was to have these on hand. And yes you nursing mommies, they are safe to take, because I nursed my sons and the hospital said it was fine. Worth the money even though they are pricey.
