I've only used it a handful of times so far, but I am very impressed. I have light skin and dark, coarse hair on my legs and I can't wear skirts to work unless I shave my legs in the morning. I keep waiting for the price of laser hair removal to come down, but it has not. Using the Intuition razor has truly cut down on my shaving time. Not only don't I need to apply shaving gel, but the head of the Intuition seems to be larger and doesn't require as many strokes. At first, I applied too much pressure and nicked myself, but then I read the instructions which say that only gently pressure is needed. The lather is light, but it seems to be enough to protect my skin. I don't have to rinse the lather off the razor nearly as frequently now. I know some say the lather wears out quickly, so I'll have to see about that. But so far, I'm delighted!

i've been using this razor for several years now. absolutely LOVE it. you can count on a very smooth, close shave with absolutely no irritation, knicks or cuts. the only downside is the cost of the refill cartridges. as you've probably read, yes, they are a bit pricey and don't last very long. depending on how often you shave (and how you store the razor), you should get 2-3 weeks out of each cartridge. be sure after each use to tip the razor upside down so any water can run off, then store the razor with the cap on, away from the water. personally, i feel it's a justified expense so i don't think twice. the amount of time and money you save not buying and using shave gels balances out the price...or gets it close enough that it's not an issue. a funny thing happened recently. a friend of mine was raving about her gillette venus. she's never used the Intuition and i've never used the venus. so i bought one. it had a "cushion gel strip" ... or so it said. so i used the razor in the same manner i've always used my intuition; without shave gel. it was a new razor and sharp. when i came out of the shower i had the WORST razor burn you've ever seen! red streaks all over my legs and underarms and i was in excrutiating pain for about 48 hours. UGH! i threw it away immediately and went back to my intuition. so for anyone who uses the venus, this is WAYYY better, in my opinion! summary: truly, a fantastic razor!! nothing else is remotely comparable but not a budget item. i say, if you can afford it, go for it!! we all need a little pampering and this razor makes shaving quick and effortless. i shave WAY more frequently now than i ever used to. no matter how busy (or lazy lol) you are, there's no excuse to procrastinate with an Intuition. do you think this was invented by men?? :)

Great new design, slender handle and easier to hold.

I wanted to like this product because of the convenience and it's supposed appropriateness for sensitive skin. I have highly sensitive skin and have formed allergies to many skincare products over the years, with the worst rashes occuring on my legs after shaving and have reacted with bad razor burn and rashes from products in the moisture strip, shaving cream, soaps and lotions. With this product, I only had mild razorburn the firs time I used it but didn't have a close shave at all, with long hair patches left behind on/around my knees and ankles, as well as strips of unshaven areas on the flat parts of the leg. The second time, I had had a greater rash and the third time I used this product, the rash was so bad that I had a hard time sleeping for two nights straight. I'm not sure if I reacted to something in the soap-bar or the moisture strip, but did have a terrible rash even after washing and scrubbing the product off with a sensitive skin body wash after shaving. The product is not easy to use and feels awkward when you press the razor against the skin. The anterior strip of soap wears off way more quickly than the posterior strip of soap. Overall, this is a poorly designed product that does not shave well and is no way ideal for super-sensitive skin. The only benefit I can see for this would be being able to travel without bringing along an additional shaving cream/gel.

It's a good product, but the razor far out lasts the shaving "lotion"

I had to put my 2 cents in on this razor. I don't know why it didn't get rave reviews. It is such a timesaver AND great razor! I don't have to use shaving foam, and the thick handle makes it so easy to hang onto, and no nics or cuts! I know it appears to be a bit pricey. But, I am saving on time. I zip thru shaving now! Compared to what I used to spend on shaving cream and replacement blades for the mach 3, it evens out. This razor has 4 blades, which you get a very close shave from. I don't know why anyone would not like it. What's not to like? Oh, and if the soap part wears down before the blades do, you can still use shaving cream to lather up.

Okay, I really like this razor. The price is a little high for how long it lasts, but you do get an extra blade with the soap ring. I personally use disposable razors in the shower or bath and save this razor for when I'm in a hurry at the sink. I wear skirts all the time so I am constantly having to make sure I have a close shave. It was such a hastle for me to have to lather soap in one hand and put it all over my legs, but now all I have to do is wet the area a little and shave away! Its a lot more convenient.

Yes I will agree with the reviews that the refills are kind of expensive compared to others, and dont last long, that being said, I'm in the military and have spent the last 5 years on a ship, and now am in Iraq, so I've spent the last few years being in small showers that i'm not able to sit in. Wow, its pretty much impossible to shave on a small shower on a ship thats moving back and forth with extrememly low lighting, those most times, we girls usually skip it. When this razor came out, it was the first time i was able to conviently and quickly shave my legs standing up and actually get a smooth shave. it works great here in iraq with the small public showers. Really, I think every military woman should have one, they're a lifesaver! Not that anyone will be touching my legs for awhile! If I was a civilian and able to use a regular shower or bathtub and had more time to devote to a shower, I don't know if I would use this, simply to save money, but for me, is definitely worth it for my lifestyle.

This razor does get your legs pretty smooth. In that way, it accomplishes its goal. HOWEVER, for as much as the refills cost, they don't last very long. A few uses and the soap part is run-down and then its just like using a regular razor, which defeats the purpose. Also, the build of the razor itself is flimsy. The part where the replacement head attaches to the razor is always coming undone. The head falls off constantly which is really irritating.

I hate shaving, but i love this razor! My rating for it is a personal one (this is the razor that best suits ME), so i recommend reading all reviews. I travel, love a versatile product, love to save space and tend to be a clutzy shaver. I do only have to shave about once or twice a month as i have hardly any leg hair to begin with, though i also shave my 'pits', which have the normal hair level, on a bi-daily basis. I didn't really expect this baby to deliver when i purchased it. An all-in-one razor seemed to good to be true, but i was hopeful enough to give it a try. I'm glad i did! The "lather" cake around the blade works very well and moisturizes nicely. (Keep in mind you must wet it and your legs before shaving.) The only slight trouble with it for me is that it does not get into the small contours behind my ankle bone and knees where they can't be bent or skin stretched to accommodate, though, truly, it leaves only millimeters more unshaven in those trouble spots compared to any other razor. For me, this is outweighed by the fact that the cake makes it harder for me to nick myself-a problem i've always had. It is great for armpits just as it is. While it may appear as though the cake would get in the way of a close shave, the triple blades placed just so give a great, clean shave. The above benefits along with its convenience and great handling make this the razor i'm staying with!
