Indications

For the temporary relief of shortness of breath, tightness in chest, wheezing and cough associated with bronchial asthma. Helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to rid the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus and drain bronchial tubes.

Directions

Adults and children 12 years and over: 1 caplet every 4 hours not to exceed 6 caplets in 24 hours or as directed by a doctor. Do not exceed recommended doses unless directed by a doctor. Children under 12 years of age: Consult a doctor. Store at room temperature.

Drug Interaction Precautions

Do not use this product if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult a health care professional before taking this product.

Warnings

Do not use this product unless a diagnosis of asthma has been made by a doctor. Do not use this product if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes or difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland unless directed by a doctor. Do not use this product if you have ever been hospitalized for asthma or if you are taking any prescription drug for asthma unless directed by a doctor. Do not continue to use this product but seek medical assistance immediately if symptoms are not relieved within 1 hour or become worse. Some users of this product may experience nervousness, tremor, sleeplessness, nausea and loss of appetite. If these symptoms persist or become worse, consult a doctor. Do not take this product for persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema or where cough is accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus) unless directed by a doctor. A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. If cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur or is accompanied by a fever, rash or persistent headache, consult a doctor. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately. As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this medication. Avoid excess heat and humidity. Use Only If Blister Unit is Unbroken.

My parents first ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 1/27/08 My parents first discovered Bronkaid for me in 1968. I've tried a lot of Rx and non-Rx asthma meds over the years and keep going back to this stuff. It's absolutely the best product for asthmatics on the market, OTC or otherwise.

This product contains a ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 8/28/07 This product contains a very low-grade Ephedrine Sulfate which doesn't work at all for me. In fact, it made me cough even more. In addition, the Guaifenesin is much more powerful in action than the Ephedrine in this product; so strong in fact that it makes your lungs feel really heavy and sluggish, rather than open and breathable. This is the WORST product I've ever used. I was thoroughly dissatisfied with its effectiveness.

I won't give it 5 stars ... by Kim in Undisclosed on 4/22/07 I won't give it 5 stars just because it would have to be perfect. But I have to admit, it works better than my albuterol, although it is not a fast-acting medicine like an inhaler.

About 2 years ago I was ... by Dana in Marana, AZ on 1/30/07 About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with asthma and pretty much got it under control. I am not one who likes the inhaler, but will use it when shortness of breath occurs. I discovered these pills, and keep a few boxes to have on hand. The best thing is you only have to take 1 pill, and it does last all day long for me, so I highly recommend Bronkaid.

I used to have pretty bad ... by GRETCHEN in Saint Joseph, MI on 10/2/06 I used to have pretty bad asthma. I kind of grew out of it as I became an adult. However I still occasionally experience shortness of breath. When I do, I take one brokaid tablet and I feel fine the rest of the day.

Since I only have a mild ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 8/28/06 Since I only have a mild case of asthma, I don't use it too often. When it does occur, the tablet works for four to five hours.
