The smell starts off a bit minty, then it transitions into a soapy scent and a bit of a citrus-y scent. I am used to herbal and natural scents, because my mother is Asian and she constantly uses natural garden herbs. But if you really care about the scent, rather than how the product protects your child, I don't see why you should purchase it. It works as it should though, and I personally love the scent. The only problem I had was how it dispensed. It can get a little tricky if you don't know how to work it. If you do it wrong, it will drip, but I don't care. I like how it's DEET free and Paraben free.

I have been using this on myself (i'm pregnant) and my two year-old. The smell is pretty bad but it keeps the bugs away.

I have just come in from my garden covered with mosquito bites even though I throughly sprayed myself with this stuff. This is the second and last time I will try using it. IT DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I have never used an insect repellent that was as ineffective as this one. Look elsewhere.

Being from northern Minnesota where summer means rampant mosquitoes, gnats and biting flies an effective bug repellant, that is also safe for my kids, is important to me. This spray really does the job and I can be confident that I am not putting harmful chemicals onto my children's skin. This is my second summer using Jason and I won't look to another product. The only con is that it does need to be reapplied every 2-3 hours (as directed on the bottle). The spray is light, works into the skin well and smells natural. Stock up on this one!

Offensive odor that would not allow me to get past closing the bottle and returning the product.

I was impressed by this bug spray. The scent is nice, not something offensive. The spray bottle works so well. It sprays what feels like a tiny mist but very efficient. It seems to work. I highly recommend it!

This is really an excellent product. It's hard to believe that something made of soy oil could be virtually as effective as DEET, but it is. I had previously tried another brand made with a soy formula but didn't like the messy cream version. This bottle produces a fine mist, so it's easy to apply. It really does keep the mosquitoes away.
