Indications

Temporarily relieves:  painful urination, burning urination.

Directions

Adults and children 12 years and over:  take 2 tablets with a full glass of water four times a day.  Drink plenty of fluids. Children under 12 years:  ask a doctor Other information:  store at 59-86° F (15-30° C) in a dry place.  Protect from light.  Each tablet contains:  23.4 mg sodium Do not use if tamper resistant seal on bottle neck is broken or missing at time of purchase.

Reye's syndrome:  Children and teenagers who have or are recovering from chicken pox, flu symptoms, or flu should not use this product.  If nausea, vomiting or fever occur, consult a doctor because these symptoms could be the early signs of Reye's syndrome, a rare but serious illness. Alcohol warning:  If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take sodium salicylate or other pain relievers/fever reducers.  Sodium salicylate may cause stomach bleeding problems. Do not use: if you are on a sodium restricted diet, if you are allergic to salicylates, or if you have stomach problems (such as heartburn, upset stomach, or stomach pain) that persist or recur, or if you have ulcers or bleeding problems Ask a doctor before use if you have frequent, burning urination for the first time. Stop use and ask a doctor if  product has been used for 10 days, pain persists or gets worse, new symptoms occur (these could be signs of a serious condition), ringing in the ears or loss of hearing occurs. If pregnant or breast feeding, ask a health professional before use.  Keep out of reach of children.  In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

I notice relief from my UTI's after the first application and definitely by the second. And it doesn't turn your urine bright orange and stain clothes. This product is a medicine cabinet essential.

I've purchased Cystex ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/8/08 I've purchased Cystex from my local Rite Aid; I was in dire need of these and could not wait to order them from drugstore.com. Well to my surprise; within 2 days of taking this along with AZO cranberry pills, my pain and pressure from frequent urination was slowly going away. I will keep these on hand for further bladder problems, they really work. They do not turn your urine orange like some of the other products. I will order the 100 count of these from drugstore.com.

I normally use Uristat. ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 2/11/08 I normally use Uristat. But the other day, I couldn't find it, so I bought this stuff. I took 2 pills within 20 minutes, the UTI pain subsided, not fully just mostly. So I figured maybe I needed to take more, so unfortunately for me I DID! Lets just say it DIDN'T take away the pain, and it filled me full of air/gas? I bloated up like a Macy's Day Parade BALLOON! I was so uncomfortable, and it still hurt to pee. (I'll say it didn't turn my pee orange like the other stuff). But I'm going to warn everyone, READ the directions.

Wonderful, amazing ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 10/10/07 Wonderful, amazing product. I tend to get UTIs more than most people get colds, and so far this has REALLY helped. I did an at home test which came up positive for a UTI, went to the doc the next day after taking two doses of this and the results on his test were negative! I never want to be without this on hand! It doesn't get rid of the pain as well as the stuff that turns your urine orange BUT it does really seem to help.

AMAZING! Forget Uristat! ... by checked in Undisclosed on 9/16/07 AMAZING! Forget Uristat! CYSTEX & AZO Cranberry tablets, lots of water & bit of Alka Seltzer is the way to go! I ran to the local drugstore Duane Reade & the pharmacist gave me Uristat. I found that it was not fast working and the ORANGE YELLOW staining urine was a little too messy for a product was not effective. After reading reviews here on drugstore.com I bought AZO cranberry & CYSTEX! No staining urine & it works fast! The pain went away! I feel better just knowing that it has antibacterial ingredient thats helping with the fight against this infection. No more painful urination. THANKS to all the women who take the time to write reviews because I was armed with great information. That is why I decided to write my own review.

Amazing drug!!! Works ... by mila in Undisclosed on 6/16/07 Amazing drug!!! Works better and faster than antibiotic with a benefit of NOT giving Yeast infections - all antibiotics do! Moreover, I kept getting UTIs every month until I discovered this drug. After I took it once or twice, my UTIs were gone for over 4 years! I just forgot how it feels to have an UTI.

For those of us who get ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 5/17/07 For those of us who get UTIs often, it is such a relief knowing you can get Cystex at the drugstore instead of having to go to the doctor every time a UTI strikes. The longest I've ever had to take Cystex to have the UTI go away completely is 2 days. It truly is a lifesaver!

I take these in combination with AZO's cranberry when I feel I may be at risk for a UTI after intercourse. So far, it's worked very well.

Oh my!!! I felt a UTI ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 2/26/07 Oh my!!! I felt a UTI coming on around 2:30 Saturday afternoon, it was very sudden! I wanted the pain GONE so I believed what it said on the box and gave it a whirl. I took 2 and by that evening, after my 2nd dose, I had no symptoms. And it's been like that since Saturday night!! I will definitely use them again!! I'd do anything to avoid that pain.

What would i do without ... by Pam in Undisclosed on 12/9/06 What would i do without cystex? I get chronic UTI's due to breaking my pubic bone,pelvis, and hips, and hurting my left kidney in a car accident. Now I have so much scar tissue built up in my urinary tract that until I get it surgically removed, I will have to live with these painful UTI's constantly, but thanks to Cystex, it's liveable and I dont have to call off work or lie in bed in pain. Thank you for making this product. It feels good to take something that helps fight the bacteria too, instead of just conceal the pain.

For those of us who know the extreme discomfort of UTIs, this not only relieves symptoms, but actually helps to get rid of the problem. No more needless suffering or discomfort.

Cystex contains an ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 10/24/06 Cystex contains an antibiotic and prevents me from discomfort from UTIs. I take two of these with two of the AZO Cranberry Supplements immediately, and they ward off an infection. If I wait to take the pills, I have to take more of them for longer.

This stuff is the BEST ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 9/10/06 This stuff is the BEST EVER!! The UTI goes away in 2 days!! You don't have to go to the doctor for anti-biotics, since this has there in there without a perscription. I get UTIs a few times a year, and this has saved me from the pain and clears it up quickly. The first day when it is really bad, I also take tylenol with it. No need to take the stuff that makes your urine Orange (and doesn't even clear it up, only helps with the pain). This is stuff is great!! Cystex is all you need, and the price is great for so many pills.
